Now it’s only the matter of him retaining memories of said information come morning, when he’d battle the inevitable hangover...

a nearby buzzing bug raises the hair on the back of his neck. oh, how he loathes bugs. hayate's eyes dart around his surroundings in hopes of finding the offending insect. he finds it, a scurrying beetle that's landed on a flower nearby. just as he raises his hand to kill it, he remembers his company— guess you'll live another day, vermin. "i don't see how you so much as tolerate these pests, much less hold them as dear as you do," he sighs as he turns back to minette. "they're disgusting."

The cider he had  recommended packed far more of a punch than the usual brand, and he had warned her beforehand that it might take her off-guard if she wasn’t careful. Given he was an archon, he could knock back a few tankards and only feel the start of a buzz, but mortals — goodness, some of them were lightweights. “You might want to slow down a little.”

   The real question is,  is she willing to feed him the snacks herself ?

with hands on his knees he had been bent over quite a bit to come remotely closer to her eye level , " my apologies , i simply could not hear you form down there . if you'd prefer , we could go have a bite - to eat of course . That way we can be sitting down and closer to even level. "
