previous anon here, tysm for replying to the first one! this beef has been going for days, and i'm honestly just so tired of it. like you, i'm not taking sides, but, it's really frustrating seeing a valid conversation about making sure that fics with dark content are tagged properly turn into personal drama. this really needs to be settled elsewhere, not in the tags. or better yet, just block each other and move on. 😭 this isn't fucking high school, it's the internet. and, it's starting to affect the wider community which in itself is upsetting because this community is supposed to be a place where we come to escape whatever's affecting us in the real world. it breaks my heart ngl.
i completely agree with you anon, you bring up a lot of valid points. take this as my two cents:
putting aside the fact that the entire thing seems to have become an absolute shit show, it definitely is in everyone's best interest to remember the core problem which is appropriately tagging. i have nothing against dc writers, but given the fact that a lot of themes found in dc works can be hard to swallow at times and could potentially trigger someone unknowingly, i do think there's an extra layer of caution needed. which is clearly not what happened here. but idk why the dc blog concerned wasn't approached privately first?? i think resorting to immediately writing a call out post was rash bc like it or like, this fandom tends to operate with a herd mentality. many take things to face value and end up spewing the most vile things i've ever read without doing prior reading. i don't think either side deserved the hate they got (despite this being a monster of their own creation) but it was incredibly thoughtless to publicly air their argument instead of trying to solve whatever grievances there were amongst themselves first. and not only that, they've also subjected the rest of us to their pettiness as well. i have no interest in reading up on their drama but it does seem that neither side approached the other privately at all and they've just been clogging the tags with their posts. if there's anything to learn from this, it's tag your posts properly.

UHMUHM as hwa says he just has the celebrity sense in him but how to navigate through daily routine is something he's so clumsy with i feel like (I MIGHT SOUND SO FREAKING DELULU OMG U ASKED FOR THIS) he...might let you take all the mundane decisions in the relationship, like, yk dinner reservations, date planning, ordering food.....i Don't know !!!!!! but he screams laidback. funny how you say he's more tiger than squirrel bc as i recall, he is born in the year of the tiger. but personally, to me, he's a bit of both actually! his stage persona is more tiger (powerful, mesmerising, dangerous, demands to be seen) while hongjoong as a person is 100% squirrel (cute, soft, curious, mischievous, cute, smiley, did i say cute). AND YES I AGREE HE'S A HATER THROUGH AND THROUGH. honestly when he's not on stage or in front of a camera, hongjoong is actually a really calm and soft spoken person. i could listen to him talk for hours bc his speaking voice is so soothing and he's always using such a gentle tone.
let's be real anon, hongjoong was made for those genres bc he's a little bit of either tbh. he's such a good case study for angst bc while he's such a lovely person (totally not biased), there are some aspects of his character and lifestyle that just make the perfect backdrop for angst. but yes, we do need more fics where he can dilly dally 😔 give my man a break fr
OOOO OKAY INTERESTING and no, dw you don't sound delulu. i think you're forgetting that this is a fanfic blog, that's like the highest level of delulu. but yes, while i agree he definitely gives off a laidback vibe, i think he's actually quite proactive when it comes to trips! take for example, the matz lake como trip. as i recall, hwa said that hongjoong planned the entire trip and that he was basically passenger princessing the entire day. it's his love language shining through here. but i think, like you said, some of the more mundane things, like ordering food and what movie to watch etc. he'd probably leave it up to you. having someone handle the simpler things takes a lot of his shoulders (imo) but! don't mistake that for him not having an opinion! i think he'd still want a say in what is chosen but he'd take greater consideration for your choices. (wow sorry for rambling like that, now he's gonna think i'm a fan 👎 )
