Number nine on our countdown of best albums of 2014 is Say Anything's Hebrews. It was released on the 10th of June with Equal Vision Records.

Say Anything are so wonderfully weird. The album features no guitars, and it's actually quite refreshing. Im not sure if any other band would have pulled it off, but Say Anything have a very special way of making music. They've always sounded experimental and the risks they take always pay off. Each song has a guest artist ranging from Tom DeLonge to Matt Pryor. This album has an underlying sense of maturity that is only natural for a band in their 30s. While still being fuelled with anger, this album is also a lot more upbeat and energised than usual. It's no secret that Matt Bemis is a lyrical genius and this album is no exception as he continues to battle his demons. It's hard to describe Say Anything's sound, so just go listen to it with a open mind and you'll be in awe.
