"With self control that approaches mania, No barriers, no boundaries for her..."
Oh Suede, Suede, Suede. I was only able to film one song yesterday as I was completely rammed up against the barrier and couldn't get to my phone easily (plus I was afraid of dropping it on the other side, as I did to my watch, living in fear Brett would step on it until I could flag the security guard to pick it up!).
We didn't know if they'd play anything off of Bloodsports but they played two great songs off of it, including this bittersweet one.
My love for Suede is not Sabotage.
Brett talks about the next record - he doesn't know what it'll sound like yet. He has no desire to chase mainstream media or create singles as there's no structure for that anymore. He's absolutely fine with that as they can make more challenging, personal music then.
Brett says the band won't be doing another film but jokes maybe the next film will be accompanied by a ballet!
Then an audience member asks about Suede doing a celebration of 20 years of Coming Up. Brett looks to Mat for an answer but then concludes it's not going to happen. But then it gets worse! He says that the band need to disappear for a while, that they've been playing live too much recently and need to go away! The audience gasps and Mat tries to redeem them by saying they'll be working. Oh no!
