fuck that's terrible. is the company liable? if they filed it incorrectly, they should pay for it. you might have a legal claim if you sue
i have absolutely no idea. originally it was a viable classification for me cuz i was brought on to help with a project that was estimated to last for like 3-4 months. that was fine. but then the project deadline kept getting pushed back and back until i was there for almost a year but still getting treated like i was temporary and expected to leave when the project was over.
i got hired on full time before the project was over, but that doesn’t help with the months before that. all that time there were no taxes taken out of my paychecks, so THAT is what i’m supposed to pay back now. months and months’ worth of the taxes that should’ve been paid then and weren’t, plus extra because i’m listed as an “independent business owner” when i don’t own a fucking business and have no expenses to leverage against that fee.
i just don’t fucking know man. taxes are confusing and everything is expensive and idfk.

Well I'm sure you will look v. cute in them. And maybe try and think about the cost spread out? I mean idk how often you buy clothes but if it's twice a year then you're spending less than $2 a day which isn't much.

I haven't been able to get a good, full night's sleep in a little over a week. I'm averaging about 3.5 hours per night over the past 9 days. So I spent my day making soup and trying to work out what two #sigils with the same meaning (#deep #restful #sleep) would look like in a story/universe I'm fleshing out. Two approaches to converge on the same result. I'm thinking they may be opposing sides of #magic in the story (not like good or evil opposing, but like an #arithromancer #mathwitch vs a #wordwitch, in this instance). Maybe I'll get some eyeliner or something and ink one on each of my temples tonight to see if I brought a little magic into the world. Anything for sleep at this point. (at Seattle, Washington)
