Math Talk - focus on division. 5 different ways to divide.

Just awesome! Building mathematical community at Roxmore Public School - UCDSB through #mathtalk, #representing with #tools at the site of learning and re-/in-specting #mistakes. It was inspiring to see students finding and managing #flow with their thinking and that of their peers. As one student shared, "I'm not really sure, but I'd like to share what I'm thinking." (at Roxmore Public School)
My metaphor
Her: you're life metaphor is like you get really tired and then realize that it was probably a bad idea to leave the kid who can't swim in the middle of the pool
Me: oh my God. That's perfect.

I'm starting to have a feeling
That everything is going downhill, but I know that to every downhill it will soon reach a max, and then eventually come to an uphill. Well, at least if the interval is limited, but in my life, it stays infinite. I'm never just a continuous line, never reaching a maximum nor a minimum. I'm a set of cosine and sine functions. I can start with an increasing slope and hit a zero tangent then immediately turn to a decreasing slope or start decreasing and then increasing. But I always have my high and low points. It's just now, I'm coming down to a low point in my life hoping that I'll finally hit that high point that I've been craving.
