33, 34, and 58 for Mathis, 65, 24, 25 and 2 for Miziutte!
33: Do you want to get married one day?
Mathis made a face at the question, “Married, you mean, MARRIED as in, go to the chapel, officially bond with somebody?” There was a hint of embarrassment in his voice behind the scoff, but it was a scoff regardless. “I don’t see much meaning in such pomp and circumstance, but if my other half at the time insisted...I wouldn’t be opposed, I’d guess.” Shrugging, he awaited the next question.
34: What do you think about getting your partner's name tattooed?
“Aye now you’re... now you’re truly speaking in jest, am I right?” Upon being told the question is serious, he laughed deeply, to the point of coughing, “Are ya daft, truly? Do I look like one of the seahounds down at the docks, every woman I’ve bedded written on my arm like a scorecard? Ridiculous notion, I’d never even consider it.”
58: Are you the "dominant" or the "submissive" part in a relationship?
“Depends on the partner, I’d wager. I’ve been with women who brought out the beast in me, but I’ve known women that could have stepped on my face in heels and I’d have thanked them. I’ve known men who I’d want to press face-first into a bed until they plead for mercy, and men who I’d gladly let run me ragged on their every word.”
Mathis’ eyes gleamed a brighter blue than they had a moment before, and his smile was incredibly self-assured. “Am I dominant? Submissive? Neither. Both. Hardly matters in the end now, does it? S’long as nobody ends up ripe with a bastard in the end, nobody breaks a bone, it’s all a good time, wouldn't you say?”
2: Have you ever been deeply in love?
Green brows furrowed instantly upon hearing the question, and the mage bit her lip before giving a quiet, slow reply, “I’d like to say no, I really would...Facts are I have, twice now. The kind of love that makes your heart physically ache.”
24: Do you think love can last forever?
The Elezen looked down, shifting in her seat, fiddling with the red ring on her hand, “Once upon a time, I did, but I’ve begun to doubt that.” She coughed, a false little sound, before looking up and waiting for the next question.
25: Do you believe love can conquer all things?
There was no reply from the woman this time, instead, her fidgeting increased, and she kept her eyes trained upon the ground. Another quiet sound, possibly a stifled sob? Upon being asked a second time, she simply looked up, eyes a little bleary, and shook her head, “Not anymore, to be quite frank.”
65: Would you consider yourself a "cuddler"?
It was almost a laugh that made it out of her throat as the far less intense question was finally asked, “After all that’s gone on, I prefer to not sleep alone, but unless the person in my bed is...somebody I care deeply for, I’m unlikely to initiate any close contact. If it’s...if it’s initiated to me, I’ll gladly give comfort but it’s...it’s just that. Comfort.”
Miziutte wiped her face with a tawny sleeve, sniffling slightly, with just a tinge of humor to her voice again, “I’m grateful for the large beds the Free Company has, and how willing most of the residents are to let me sleep near them. Thus far, only just the one has tried to cuddle, in his sleep, I think, but at least he’s warm enough. No cold toes on me in the middle of the night.” A hint of a genuine smile before adding, “Bit comforting for me too, now that I think about it.”
