Matcharons are delightful macarons infused with the earthy flavors of matcha. These green tea-flavored treats are perfect for tea lovers and dessert enthusiasts alike.
Ingredients: 150g almond flour. 150g powdered sugar. 2 tablespoons matcha powder. 3 large egg whites. 50g granulated sugar. Green food coloring optional. Matcha ganache for filling optional.
Instructions: Sift almond flour, powdered sugar, and matcha powder together into a bowl. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites until frothy, then gradually add granulated sugar and continue whipping until stiff peaks form. Fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites until you get a smooth batter. Add green food coloring if desired. Transfer the batter into a piping bag and pipe small rounds onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Tap the baking sheet on the counter to remove air bubbles and let the macarons rest for 30 minutes to form a skin. Preheat your oven to 300F 150C. Bake the macarons for 15-18 minutes until they have risen and the tops are set. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cooled, pipe matcha ganache or your desired filling onto half of the macarons, then sandwich with the remaining halves. Allow the filled macarons to mature in the fridge for 24 hours for best flavor. Serve and enjoy your delicious Matcharons!
