Fratt/Mastle fic because Matt got shot and they've been on my mind

Since there are already 1262 fics in Frank Castle/Matt Murdock category in ao3, and I’m new in this ship, I’d love you to worsen my brainrot by kindly sending me fic recommendations. 😃

So far, the fics I’ve read that kicked my neurons just right are these (completed and incomplete ones):

1. The Good Side of You by jayyxx

Hurt/Comfort, Post-Episode: s02e11 .380, Slow Burn, Bathing/Washing, First Aid, frank and matty stuck in a cabin— k i s s i n g   

Honestly, straight up 13 chapters of good shit. Personal favorite notes from ch. 1 that sold me right off the bat: 

He (Matthew) can almost hear Foggy’s laugh after he tells him that Frank Castle —very gently, softly, kindly?— washed his hair for him while Matt slowly regenerated blood cells in a half-empty bathtub.

It really does feel nice, but that’s not weird to Matt. Frank is a father, he probably washed his kid's hair all the time. What’s strange is how Frank is reacting to it. Like he’s also enjoying it. Like maybe he enjoys having someone to look after, to care for, to wash their hair.

2. On Coming Home series by SaturnChild 

Tags / Notes: Rating - Mature (M) & Explicit (E) 🔞

Lots (seriously, LOTS) of Mental Health Issues, Please Do Mind The Tags, Might trigger anxiety and suicidal tendencies. The “Low Lights” one has spicy sexual stuff that is just up my alley like hoooly shit.

These ones are some heavy reads, I’m not going to lie, to the point I had to take breaks every now and then just to breathe and shake some thoughts. It’s addicting, though. Because I had it ready on my phone so I could read it while waiting for traffic lights to go green on my way to pick up my sister, three - four days in a row.

The kinds of fics that I’d obsess over if I was 18 again and haven’t seen and talked to any therapist/psychologist tbh.

3. Intense by  Nymphalidae

Unfinished (dunno yet or not), but still satisfying nonetheless, imho. There are 5 chapters so far. No thoughts, head empty, just them Doing It at any given time, anywhere. The characterizations are on point, also imo.

4. Strange Loyalties by mothmanfucker666

PROTECTIVE FRANK CASTLE. 

Slice of life-ish story where Frank Castle met (and helped) Peter Parker, took care of the kid a little bit, and asked Matt to send the kid back home. Bless the author for this tbh.

5. The Family We Choose by Captain_Holland

Tags / Notes: Rating - M

Summary: 

Matt finds a little orphan after a raid in a human trafficking ring. Knowing like no other how damaging an orphanage can be, he roams aimlessly through the streets of Hell's kitchen with the child in his arms and no clue what to do.

Thankfully, there's Frank.

It actually kills me to know that this wonderful, most ideal Kid Fic for them is left UNFINISHED. Basically, finding this fic is karma getting my ass for not finishing my own uploaded projects, so maybe I deserve it either way.

6. Not The Smartest Way to Start My Night by mothmanfucker666

Another banger fic from mothmanfucker666!1!!1!!1 Yeah, this one is super cute, okay. A meet-cute where Matt is drunk and being his fruity self.

Summary:

"I walked away," Frank says slowly, staring out the glass sliding door facing the backyard of his apartment, "for five minutes. What the actual fuck."

Outside, there's a stranger sitting in the grass. A grey pitbull is wriggling delightedly in the stranger's lap as he scritches behind its ears. Frank's grey pitbull. It's Max.

"It's two in the goddamn morning," Frank splutters to himself.
