He often lost track of time when he locked himself in his room. Instead of working on the next plans his thoughts would slowly and surely drift to the Queen and he would end up staring at his hologram, thinking of ways to get her out of her crystal palace, to make her past self fall and join their cause - join him.

The prince didn’t notice it had been hours until Rubeus’s voice brought him back to reality. He granted the general a rare genuine smile.

A flare of red hair so vibrant, like flames, topped the unusual stranger bearing a black crescent upon their face. It was quite unlike anything she’d seen before-- && she was the one who lived amongst the bizarre creatures from a circus of horrors.

She laughed, pale eyes flitting up && down his figure curiously. A rouge nail came to rest at her chin as she made her guesses about him; it was rare for someone to catch the queen’s interest, but there was something odd about him, a sense of power && of something greater than a mere travelling performer.

But that would not stop her && her sharp tongue from offering a few taunts.
