The way I see it, it’s advertisement in its purest form!! They should want to expand beyond their current audience and to do that, they need to make it as accessible as possible. Especially since there’s still some stigma around liking comics / some people at the comic book stores aren’t always encouraging of new readers! (Okay this might be more my projection as a woman who likes comics that doesn’t fit the ‘stereotype’ but I can only speak from experience haha).
Agreed…and yeah, I definitely know what you mean about being a woman in comic shops. They were even less welcoming 30 years ago, but I do fit the awkward nerd stereotype, so there's that. And it's in the industry's best interest to hook all sorts of people through various means, even (especially?) if it requires taking non-traditional approaches to catch their attention.

My friend got really into Arrow, she got me into it too, then I got into these snarky criminals when the TV!Rogues appeared when catching up on The Flash, and I fell down a tumblr rabbit hole :> The Arrowverse may have its faults, but I'll always be grateful for it being my DC gateway via my friend :3
Oh cool, I didn't know that! It's great how many people came into the comics thanks to the Arrowverse, and I'm very glad about those who stayed :)

Glad to see that DC can’t be consistent about anything lmaooo 😭😭 at least they’re near eachother in one panel. That’s honestly enough for me at this point
Yeah, you'll notice how Digger's statue looks serious in the first panel but is smiling in the second…they're by different artists and in different issues, but the scenes take place close together so it's pretty funny 😅
And I'm glad too 🥲 I wonder who decided to bury them close to each other?

To be fair with the Blackest Night bit, Owen was feeding innocent people to a zombie during that arc. I would have been surprised if Captain Cold DIDN'T turn on him.
Yeah, I don't actually blame Len for being disappointed (or frustrated, or angry) in those cases, but he does have a history of turning his back on people he cares about who mess up and I think that's relevant to his character.
To go back to Roscoe for a second, Len looked genuinely sad at the beginning of his funeral, but not long after was all "at least I don't have to pretend I miss Roscoe!" …and the 'miss Roscoe' scene was after the bomb plot, so I don't blame Len for being disappointed or pissed about that either. I just wonder if reconciliation is possible at this point, but truthfully we don't know how much of their history of conflict is even canon right now 🥴
