' One day in Hyrule an old worn and torn scroll washes up on the shores of Lurelin village, and like anything vaguely interesting, or that causes reportings of inhabitants hearing VOICES whenever they come into close vicinity with this torn scroll, the Hyrulean army sees this as a potential threat, and confiscate it with only a few authorized to investigate it; I.e. anybody who can decipher what the broken texts speak of, and as of recent years after the Upheavel who was able to do that because he stared at Zonai writing for a bit too long, yeah Kohga.... Anyways;

....... So then you know it's almost already too late now that almost everyone in the Kingdom of Hyrule has started hearing these "voices" at different intervals; Some hearing the whispers louder than others while a few are lucky enough to not hear them at all..... For now..... However, once a few hear those whispers, it tends to spread like a disease, especially to those who are susceptible to a weaker mind..

A few well documented inhabitants who have officially spoken out, who have been affected by the phenomenon (also referenced from quietest to the loudest) and the pattern seems to be known to affect those with a sort of authority in some ways; Example rulers, leaders of organizations or even just chieftains of smaller tribes: Rhoam soon to be former King of Hyrule; Only hearing such whispers in his dreams, however faint, he cannot make out any of the words, Impa who is now full-time chief of the Sheikah tribe; Sometimes will confuse the voices as someone speaking directly into her hears, makes out certain words such as "Lost people" and "Mad King", Terrako, although not of authority, it was affected in morse code form, and is the only thing affected in a way because certain technologies can in fact pick up these frequencies. It explains why the former Sheikah slate now referred to as the Purah Pad kept buzzing, the screen would fuzz and distort slightly when the frequencies would pick up incredibly; Terrako would usually start humming Zelda's little lullaby, albeit very distorted before it suddenly stops.. Even the blue "eye" would turn a golden/yellow during that time too, Mipha who is now the Zora Queen of her people; Sometimes would become disorientated and see "someone" in the corner of her vision, although very blurred, Zelda herself who is upcoming queen and taking her father's place; Whenever she prays the words would repeat "Forbidden knowledge" and sometimes of a vague yet fuzzy being every time she closes her eyes, what she could make out is that she would mention the person wearing gold-plated armour, and then finally even Master Kohga the still current leader of the Yiga clan; Who now deals with sleepless nights since coming into contact with it, constantly hearing from a curse and even a location of the "origin" of the worn-out scroll, he would experience visions, in gold staring back at himself. Leaders like Urbosa and Daruk seemingly more "lucky" in some terms, have not had the "full on effect" of this phenomenon, although they do feel a sudden uneasiness in the air or a headache of sorts when these moments were to arise, Zelda had insisted that they'd refrain from themselves coming into contact to those who have seem to become a bit more susceptible to such frequencies, as much as it pained both her and Urbosa, they knew they wanted to keep each other safe; Especially now as Zelda has proven multiple times that she appears more capable and strong-willed the older she gets, not even Rhoam can match her inner strength....

I never even mentioned REVALI!! ....

Revali had in fact kept his distance away from the occurrences and never set foot once near the scroll, he personally believes that those who speak out about hearing the voices and other phenomenon involving the scroll were just a bunch of "nobodies" who wanted to feel special and involve themselves in all the palava.. Understandable so as all his life, Revali had worked hard to prove his worth as a Rito warrior, worthy champion to pilot Vah Medoh, and now as of recent years; Proven himself that he is in fact, the PERFECT protector of the future Wind Sage's Secret stone, to which he willingly agreed to take such a position. He's no more annoyed by someone getting themselves involved however, as he is towards Kohga; Revali detests his involvement as he believes he's trying either get something out of it, or is trying to weasel his way into the Hylian ranks as the Royal Chancellor.. Zelda however laughs it off while Daruk personally believes he is just envious that he's not the one who discovered the artifact.

Sometime after the reported whispers and rare instances of hallucinations and visions, using them as hints, they eventually discovered it's relation to a long abandoned kingdom that prospered eons prior, rumoured to have been a thriving kingdom after the time of the Imprisoning War. However now long gone due to an unknown curse that had seemed to befallen the kingdom where every face of royalty had fallen into a complete "madness" after exposing themselves to "Forbidden knowledge", whatever that may be is another mystery to the Hyrule kingdom. So there they go, a few are to follow those coordinates to this long forgotten kingdom; The small team derives of Zelda, the one in charge of the investigation, Mipha, the healer in case things go south or to aid any descendants who still reside there, Link to accompany Zelda in case things go wrong as well as being her trusty bodyguard, and Master Kohga as his visions are more persistent and comprehensible enough to help them through, accompanying him is his new Right-Hand, Ichiro, to protect his Master. Fortunately for Kohga, Ichiro seems to hold no such symptoms to this and continues to keep to his Master's well-being for as long as he can and is allowed to. Two Zora soldiers and three Hylian soldiers also as support for the investigation. Before they are able to make their own preparations to traverse the seas however, they are to be met with a mysterious ferry-man, in yellow on the far outskirts of Lurelin's beaches, who then informs them of a little story of this lost and long forgotten kingdom; Of the very first king who tried to reach to the Gods himself in order to be blessed with eternal knowledge and power, only to fall into a madness to no end (the gods got big angy). Those who wish to take the thrown all suffer the same fate, hence why it is called the "Forbidden Knowledge". After explaining to the Ferry-man about the torn scroll they received through the Lurelin waters, reading through the ancient language on the scroll, he confirms that is in fact an invitation to greet two of the kingdoms in a form of alliance, although now knowing the fate, this alliance seemingly was a very old offer from the oldest Golden King at the time before his untimely fate.

After a much needed schooling lesson on their predicament soon to be full on war against madness itself, they agree to receive the aid from the ferry-man and his knowledge in known history of their destination, and so they venture forth to the abandoned kingdom; The waters were strangely calm throughout the whole trip, but once they eventually set foot on the Forbidden lands they realize it doesn't look too desolate or forsaken as they thought it would on the surface by the eerie stories; Although very much abandoned minus a few normal creatures that still roam the forests with lush golden and red leaves, there appears to be no human life as they travel onwards to the actual "centre" of the castle town.. Though once they had begun setting foot into the castle grounds, the visions and the voices grew louder and stronger than ever before, seemingly wanting whatever lurks to be found and to be reclaimed by someone "worthy" of the title, even the few Zora and Hylian soldiers started feeling a slight disorientation from the exposure, Link maintaining his stance of defence to keep Zelda safe as he too slowly comes in and out of focus from the voices, Zelda and Mipha then both share their slight distaste of this sudden uneasiness and even nausea that seems to have a firm grip of their stomachs. None having it any worse than Kohga however as he seemingly exposed himself to the scroll a bit too much trying to decipher the writing during unauthorized visits (aka he snuck in the highly secured and protected chambers of Hyrule castle too many times); Dizziness, hearing faint screams of a future soon to come, vomiting, every reflection he stared into (i.e water or the castles very beautifully reflective sunny-yellow glass panes), he'd see that golden counterpart he had envisioned times before..... Even seeing his own hands turn golden right before his eyes.....

Into the castle itself and eventually into the throne room as they ventured further, the voices would read "deep underground, where the treasure rests".....

A little while after exploring the throne room when they eventually figured out that deep underground meant some secret passage was located somewhere in the room itself, however to no avail searching for it, they chose to hold off the search until next morning when they are well fed and rested.. Until later that night despite hearing pleas from his exhausted Right-Hand hours prior to their rest, Kohga in the dead of night decided to take it upon himself to figure it out before anybody else does, for whatever reasons, but assuming he could potentially get something out of it, or he just wants to find it before anyone else does (because the thrill is there despite suffering such terrible visions almost constantly since), or even just so nobody else has to deal with what he's constantly experiencing since... He eventually figures out the secret passage which is directly underneath the throne itself which leads to an underground labyrinth of sorts, following the torches which then leads to a secret library; Somewhat getting into further detail about this curse and how it envelopes the wearer over time..... However if you stray too far on the left side, you will to eventually come across your undesirable fate, to which he ignores the very useful warnings.. But not out of selfishness or the unwillingness to listen, but because he felt... Compelled to, like the voices were begging him to "find IT".

Meanwhile after some time since Kohga's departure for the source, Ichiro abruptly waking up in a cold sweat, realising his leader had disappeared, in a panic he wakes the others up; The Ferry-man insinuates that their friend may have gone to find this "Forbidden Knowledge", dreading what potential dangers this could bring about the world of anybody who were to uncover the horrible truths, in their disorientated state, they rush off in hopes before anything terrible were to happen.. Mipha already sceptical of the Ferry-man (sorry forgot to mention that earlier, she had bad feelings of the mysterious person after a while on the journey. I just suck at explaining any sort of environment), she feels that he is there to drive at least one of them to the same fate, and then it is up to this point that she fears that she may be right about it all along; Randomly appearing on the shores of Lurelin with a boat with the clear signature of yellows, golds and blacks which are located almost everywhere in this abandoned kingdom, and just merely a few days after the scroll washes up on Lurelin shores, Never denying them access or entry into a place that could potentially ruin their lives and their minds, allowing them to "snoop" around looking for a secret "treasurey", and now seemingly and casually watched as one of their own had took it upon themselves to put them in harms way just to look for something, and proceeded to not warn or mention that such a foolish act was underway... Zelda rightfully growing weary as their trusted friend has gone out of his way trying to be a hero, so they now race against the clock of doomsday that will soon fall upon them.

As that is happening, Kohga draws closer to who the voices now deem as the "perfect candidate"; The more he listens to the voices, the more he approaches the fate of the past kings, the crown that the curse is now sealed into, calling him to take the throne... Stumbling onto the final room, the original throne room, there is a singular pedestal which is where the cursed crown rests; And once worn, the wearer will unlock the ability to eternal knowledge, though with the price of one's sanity of course. (I'm going insane trying to explain the fcking plot in case you can't tell-)

Succumbing to the voices, succumbing to the fate, the others within the labyrinth hear the horrific screams, Ichiro as he feels his heart sink, darts onwards to the direction of the screams as the others follow after.

And there they are, in the midst of a great tragedy, Kohga motionlessly standing there with the malevolent crown in hand.

Another King is born

To make it more easier to understand; The King of Madness is reborn once again and the knowledge of everything will seep into the minds of many and the world will soon succumb to a never-ending torment of madness and chaos. And you cannot control this, can't even contain it unless you somehow managed to capture and contain the new vessel until the body passes and decays..

Not even Zelda's sacred light power can save their friend nor those who will soon fall to such weak minds

Not so fun fact: The crown had seemingly manifested the curse into itself after the first King's death, as he had driven himself to suicide because of the eternal knowledge he could not comprehend, so anyone who dares to bare the crown will also suffer the fate of his foolish actions. The "heir" isn't a lineage, it's whoever puts on the crown

.. The crown is worn, giving the new heir a very much needed appropriate appearance for the the position of the new King, the mind of the wearer sifts into nothing almost immediately as the unfathomable knowledge of everything overtakes all the things they've already previously known, learned and even experienced prior to this moment.... '

They all played a good part leading up to this tragedy of an ending of this forsaken play, and the new vessel played the part very VERY well; Too smart to decipher the forbidden language, too smart to make out the voices and the visions, too smart to figure out the location and even too smart to find the source.

However too stupid to heed the warnings as he sees it all unfold right in front of him, finally realizing a little too late; That the King has returned, and no one is safe And all they can do is run, and run, and run and run. Warn the others, warn everyone else, warn them all defend yourselves as much as YO u cAn bri NG your B esT War Rio rs.

But to no avail

So anyways that's it, that's the plot and this is the only way I can get this fcking idea out of my head- I'mean fair enough it won't leave my brain for a while until it eventually fizzles out into the back of mind to eventually re-surface again someday

But unless I can think of something else to get me out of this wild goose chase of a strange concept I never knew I NEEDED in my life and being able to torture my fave in this way where their mind LITERALLY implodes because the human mind cannot comprehend the unlawful truths to our existence and everything that ALSO exists COULD exist WILL and will NEVER exist and the in-betweens to how EVERY outcome, loss, win and so on can drive any normal person mad-

Even the SMARTEST or the MENTALLY STRONG-WILLED are susceptible to this eternal fate !!

So make of this what you will! Even not as a direct person or entity, the King of Yellow has somehow got to me and I never knew I T existed prior to a couple weeks ago because of a MINECRAFT ARG AND WIFIES WTH HOME AGAIN IS SUCH A GOOD FCKING SONG AND NOW ASSOCIATING WITH THAT SONG CANNOT BE NOTHING BUT A DESCENT INTO MADNESS!!!

Also if armour was a lot easier to draw, I'd be drawing Kohga as the most beautiful and flawless king known to man, that man is STUNNING and he NEEDS a prince to sweep him off his feet, even a mad King needs a handsome hunk to carry him bridal style-.... I could do a bittersweet ending to this of course, but the real ending would be Kohga's untimely descent into madness..... HOWEVER I COULD have Ichiro risking his life to let the others escape as he contains Kohga in the chamber as they both fall into the madness because anybody who comes into contact with the crown in THIS version of the concept goes insane-

And BECAUSE Ichiro got TOO close to Kohga that it ends up enveloping them BOTH into the cursed cycle where they could be a doomed lovers trope and suffering together.. So then you can have TWO kings which is WORSE, however the love for each other somehow perseveres in some way that they both now unintentionally and eventually spread the curse to every living being in the world while they longfully gaze into eachother's eyes or masks, as destruction surrounds them.... I'mean it's not DEMON KING level of world ending but it's a DIFFERENT kind of world-ending.........................................................................................................................

...... I like that ending too they can be insane and in love together (also cuz this is years after Sooga's dead and cuz Ichiro has proven himself to Sooga's spirit he's actually long gone moved on.... Boyyy he'll be disappointed as he watches from up above with Zelda's mum like wtf....-)

... Oh and the Sundelions that are very prominent in the grounds of the forsaken kingdom also in the doodle drawing???? They were literally just imported from the Imprisoning era of Hyrule after Rauru is long gone in hopes of starting a new kingdom with a new face of royalty ...... Maybe that was a bad idea-

Basic bio:

Ichiro was actually a student to Sooga's perilous and almost impossible training for a long time before the events of the Calamity had struck; He, not only being the complete opposite to Sooga personality-wise, Ichiro kept up with his training very well despite it and was one of the only few who had the mental capacity and "leadership" like front to command and plan their missions and such. Sooga, despite being such the stoic one, was very impressed and some time after, decided it was deserving of new personal equipment for the next "era" of Yiga clan's second in command. Sooga had designed the twin blades himself for Ichiro and had planned for ages to eventually get them custom-forged and perfected for him so they could train and dual as practise.

Unfortunately that time were to never come when Astor one day, betraying the Yiga clan and sacrificing them to Calamity Ganon (via the Blights I guess that was), and Sooga very soon falling to the Blights later on when he held them off enough for Kohga to escape in time. In the work up to gaining the trust of Zelda and the Champions while also Kohga gaining their trust, the majority of Blademasters and other high ranking members took turns helping Kohga plan and prepare in Sooga's place, Ichiro had done so a few times during that time of finally defeating Calamity Ganon and other peers had seen the potential he had to taking such a position by Kohga's side... Kohga, dealing with the grief of the loss of not only his very loyal subordinate, but also his one and only lover, so it took him such a long time to finally "accept and move on" from Sooga's death years ago to finally promote another loyal and strong-willed member to take up the mantle as his Right-Hand man (to which 7 years had passed since they ever had a second person in charge of the Yiga clan in Kohga's stead); So then, after some time of trying to not only gain Kohga's approval and training immensely that in some ways has somewhat surpassed Sooga's skill and technique (To which Sooga had not doubt was possible as he had a lot of high praise for those who managed to hold out on their own, of course in this case, Ichiro did in many ways), his Master begrudgingly accepts and appoints Ichiro the position to be by his side...

Not without a few complications however, since Ichiro is not like Sooga in ways when it comes to personality and rational thinking, he and Kohga have indeed butt heads with each other when it comes to said plans and missions, they have indeed argued with Kohga also unintentionally constantly comparing Ichiro to Sooga a lot; Expecting him to respond the exact same way as the loyal former subordinate did, while Ichiro either letting the emotions of his getting the better of him as he also falls for their still very distraught leader while informing how some ways Kohga is to react or behave in certain situations is sometimes not dignified- They seem like polar opposites with their leader and follower dynamic that Ichiro feels they'll never come to steady ground like Sooga and Kohga always did, still though, he persists; To not only get Kohga's approval and validation, but also to prove he has what it takes to be the almost perfect Right-Hand man of the Yiga clan and will push through no matter how impossible or abysmal it feels in the moment..

Ichiro's personally crafted twin blades designed by his former teacher, Sooga; Originally just designed for any upcoming Blademaster who took the mantle as Right-Hand of the Yiga clan and proved their worthiness of such swords, Sooga had actually started gradually touching up the concept for Ichiro during little small talk and snippets that piqued his students interests during their training; Ichiro always mentioning how he would love to incorporate the element of fire to his fighting style to give him a better advantage in a fight, especially against strong enemies, how he'd love to try dual-wield, even triple-wield to improve his already promising skills, and so forth.

Alas, Sooga was actually getting on with the concept of a third blade for Ichiro before his untimely demise, so instead, now with the blades having a title of Ichiro keeping his promise to Sooga to keep the clan safe and protect Kohga with his life; He now wields the Blades of Promise, and a single Sword of Ferocity, which Sooga upgraded him to from a Windcleaver during their first few years of training. Ichiro made a promise to Sooga, and sometimes it feels like he's always watching over him, making sure the new Right-Hand is getting on well with keeping up to such a promise...

Until at some point it turns out that yes, Sooga in fact, in spirit form, has possessed his dual-blades! Which gives Ichiro one heck of a heart attack one time during training because the new Luitenant was having doubts in the back of his mind about whether he's actually good enough at all for the task... So there's that going for him, nobody else can see the spirit of the badass Sooga, only he can and it makes him look crazy every single time without fail.. And Kohga is not and never amused-

Other details:

Luitenant uniform - Without Ichiro's Blademaster hood and cloak, he almost resembles Sooga in some ways, especially with the hair and the collars; Minor exceptions are his belt design is slightly different with a more refined Footsoldier style, and the "double collar" whereas the former Right-Hand, Sooga, just merely having one collar "flair". When he wears his hooded uniform, he usually adjusts the buckles over his shoulders to tucking above his collars, as he tucks then underneath his hood. Without the hood and cloak, to which he wears to Yiga ceremonies or meetings with the other leaders of Hyrule, important things, whereas his hooded he wears casually or in battle, and when venturing into colder environments as he does not have much of a tolerance to the cold.. Kohga doesn't like it when Ichiro wears his Blademaster attire under his Luitenant attire, as "Sooga wouldn't be so lousy like that" ...

Mask - His mask has two sets of horns, and is seen with a couple scars, from where after Sooga's death, he started training all by himself to try improving his capabilities, almost pushing himself too far to the point he almost injured him in the face and a few other places on his body- Luckily enough, the mask being there to protect him... Like it does for a lot of them.. He heavily inspired his own mask to Sooga's as he was obviously not just a mentor, but also an inspiration for him to keep pushing forward no matter the situation- Hence why Ichiro was eventually appointed as Kohga's new Right-Hand man, even if Kohga refuses to see it because he doesn't want anybody else to "replace" his beloved.

Cold-Resistant Cloak - As stated, he crafted the ruby infused cloak when during intense training in the bone-chilling peaks of Hebra and almost succumbed to the cold.. With his fast thinking even almost at the brink of death, he put together what he had found around him, a lone ruby ore was just sitting there in the snow and some tattered cloths at a nearby long abandoned campsite- Although Ichiro himself never questioned how convenient this felt, he just thought he was lucky...

Ichiro always has his cloak on the ready due to most missions or where aid is needed tends to be round about areas and regions of Hyrule that are cold - A good thing as most missions that requires him and his team to either be or to aid, he without doubt always ends up somewhere very cold.

He does NOT handle freezing weather very well and even during Sooga's personal training for him he just never got the hang of dealing with the minus temperatures and regulating his own temperature, despite the fact his mentor did so almost without problems. Although now with the cloak he's even able to walk around the Gerudo Highlands as so without needing a shirt to protect him.

A little after Ichiro was promoted to be Master Kohga's Right-Hand man for the Yiga clan, Kohga kept Ichiro aside and it was pretty much just him looking down at Ichiro all disgruntled because he doesn't really want anybody to take his side other than Sooga...

There... Wasn't really much Ichiro could do other than just stare as Kohga kind of makes snide remarks in his face..... Ichiro knows he must be patient despite it being years since the former took the position, so he excuses Kohga's actions and behaviour and just keeps up to task, never always taking the insults personally.... Although sometimes it can be hard.

Another training session between teacher and student - Takes place briefly a day or so before Ichiro almost dies of shock after finding out his gifted blades were in fact, possessed by the very person who designed them for him. Sooga refuses to rest until he knows full well that both the Yiga clan and their lovely Master Kohga are safe, somewhat doubts Ichiro's potential since the new Right-Hand has loads of doubts about himself as well.

.... Ok I think that's it now, this took me like 2 or 3 days to make this whole stupid ass post cuz I kept making fcking refs, doodles and shit for this fucking guy and I honestly can't fcking believe this is the most info I did on a single character like EVER on a god damn post!!

Why did I make this?!?

I don't fucking know I just thought of like a Yiga who's like a successor to Sooga after his passing and wanted to draw him, and then lo and behold I ended up drawing all this shit and getting into detail about him and all that shit.... Like wf am I gonna do now I paused OC refs and shit just to do this and now Idk if I'm gonna do anything else for him after this hhhhh...........

So anyways, this is Ichiro, aaaaand he's the next Luitenant of the Yiga clan, aaaaand his swords are possessed by the spirit of Sooga
