What Curiosity Did || Mason & Lilith
Lilith should probably feel awkward sharing a car with a stranger, but the stranger is hot, so she's finding it kind of hard to complain in this instance. She glances over to him occasionally as he drives, sneaking glimpses whenever she can, trying to determine whether she's been lumped with an asshole or not. She's usually stuck with the jerks and the dickheads, and as a newbie her chances of being partnered with someone tolerable is low, because why wouldn't you lump the new chick with the guy you don't like? She's none the wiser after all. She sighs and looks out of the window at the ruined world. Why is it always the fit ones that are the douchebags?
They're looking for supplies: fuel, water and medicine to be precise. Everyone has been spread across the neighborhood, looking for anything of use, which makes sense. With so many people, children included, they have to take up a lot of supplies, and those don't just come from thin air. They have to be scouted for, scavenged and collected, and they need people to do that. She's just grateful that it won't just be them in the house they're looking in, especially if the guy does turn out to be a complete asshat.
When the car stops she hops out, empty rucksack slung across her shoulder. She has her gun on her hip and her crowbar in hand, ready for any danger that might be lurking in this strange house. She could probably deal with anything that came at her using her powers, but that would put her at a stranger's mercy, which is the last thing she wants. She still has to figure out how much she can trust this guy, whether the group took pity on her and gave her a friendly partner to scavenge with. She smiles broadly at him, trying to initiate some kind of friendly understanding between the two of them. "Get out loser, we're going scouting."
