JESSICA MINH ANH JOINS GLOBAL LEADERS TO CELEBRATE PARIS AGREEMENT ON CLIMATE CHANGE
On 12 December 2020, Jessica Minh Anh appeared alongside Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, French football player Olivier Giroud, Canadian Minister Catherine McKenna, Korean actor RYU Junyeol, Argentina’s First Lady Fabiola Yanez, Australia’s surf champion Lane Beachley, Japanese astronaut Naoko Yamazaki, and CEO Schneider Electric Jean-Pascal Tricoire in the campaign video celebrating the fifth anniversary of Paris Agreement on Climate Change. The special Maskbook campaign, which was launched by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and Art of Change 21, encourages everyone to wear a mask while raising awareness on the climate emergency.
In the video, Jessica Minh Anh wears a unique face mask named "A Sunny Day", highlighting renewable energies and her hope for a bright future. The fashionable creation was exclusively designed to portray Jessica’s sustainability message. The details, which were made from recycled materials, include the sun, clouds, and multi-colored birds to illustrate solar power, wind power, and a positive outlook.
The Paris-based model, actress, and producer is well-known for revolutionizing modern catwalks while promoting sustainability and renewable energies atop Hoover Dam, GemaSOLAR power plant, and most recently the global sustainable supply chain at JFK international airport in New York right in February 2020 right before the lockdown. Prior to her impressive Fashion x Sustainability series, Jessica continuously made history by transforming the most iconic monuments, including the Eiffel Tower, London’s Tower Bridge, Grand Canyon Skywalk, and One World Trade Center, into the world’s newest runways. Representing a highly-engaged younger generation, Jessica Minh Anh has made sustainability and innovation a lifestyle choice.
“I want to highlight sustainability and stimulate global mindset towards green initiatives through artistic and creative captures. We can take actions to create a hopeful and happy future” said Jessica Minh Anh.

To celebrate the anniversary of this unprecedented advance in the fight against global warming - agreed at the COP21 in Paris in 2015 - the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs has formed an alliance with the Maskbook project. Maskbook was created for COP21 and has featured at every Climate COP since! Artist and CSF Researcher Prof. Lucy Orta (@lucyjorgeorta) was commissioned to create 3 masks for key figures as part of the MaskBook campaign... 1️⃣ Laurence Tubiana (@laurence.tubiana) wears the 'Extreme Weather' mask – Laurence was a key architect of the Paris Agreement (portrait by Violaine Carrere) "This mask is redolent of equipment for climbing in the high mountains, where one has to equip, adapt and survive extreme weather conditions. This is the case in the mountains and in the poles, but also increasingly in our daily lives. We are entering an era of drawn out emergency. We all become mountaineers in the face of extreme variations in temperature." 2️⃣ Olivier Giroud (@giroud918) wears the 'Antarctica Flag' mask – Olivier is a footballer for @equipedefrance and @chelseafc (Portrait by Jérémy Souteyrat) "The Antarctica Flag represents a kaleidoscope of different nations; as if through the filter of a prism, the flag concentrates all the national colours into the sum of light, similar to the snowy white of purity and hope...The flag of a new world community, to be raised as a supranational emblem of human rights." 3️⃣ Jean-Pascal Tricoire wears 'The Change Hub' mask – Jean-Pascal is the CEO Schneider Electric. "In this hub, all transformation paths lead to a diverse post-carbon world where cooperation is key, like these multicolored links interconnected with each other." ––– Want to get involved? ✂️ You can create your own mask on the theme of the anniversary of the Paris Agreement, and upload your masked portrait to the online gallery. maskbook.org/en/join-us ––– #ClimateAction #ParisAgreement #MaskBook @artofchange21 @francediplo #CentreForSustainableFashion #CSF #Sustainability #SustainableFashion (at Milan, Italy) https://www.instagram.com/p/CItGQM9lCz3/?igshid=k8qbk82aca46
