JINKI: boxing gloves. when activated, they boost his strength by 10x. that plus his incredible, almost inhumane strength makes a deadly punch.

Tsutako Tomioka

AGE: 27

HEIGHT: 173cm

STATUS: giver, fighter.

JINKI: bow. it turns into a long, unbreakable ribbon that she can manoeuvre on command.

Aoi Kanzaki

AGE: 21

HEIGHT: 162cm

STATUS: giver, cook/healer.

JINKI: an old style wooden rice container. when activated, she has to think about the food/medicine she's preparing and the ingredients appear inside.

Masachika Kumeno

AGE: 23

HEIGHT: 177cm

STATUS: giver, fighter.

JINKI: his late brother's tamagotchi. when activated, the gotchi pet comes into real like and quadruples in size. he can control its movements with the leveled up tamagotchi, it's like playing a game with it.

Kaigaku Inadama

AGE: 18

HEIGHT: 167cm

STATUS: supporter, pretty bitter about it.

One peaceful day after the usual sparring.

Iguro: shinazugawa, are you okay using your own blood to deceit the demon?

Shinazugawa: hah? Of course. That's my ultimate weapon. Why?

Iguro: well, you see, human will die if they lose much blood....you are tough of course, but don't be too reckless.

Shinazugawa: damn, you talk just like him.

Iguro:...?

Shinazugawa: Masachika. Why I'm befriend with two over concerning friend? I'm fine.

Iguro;...oh, but his concern was valid. You are being too reckless.

Shinazugawa: huh, I'll be fine. These damn demon will die before they ever touch me. Iguro, some times you just like him it's kinda bother me.

Iguro: why? Masachika seem like a good friend from the way you tell me about him.

Shinazugawa:...you two didn't really care about your own self than others. Why are you that concern about me, Iguro, the other day you almost getting killed off by that damn lower moon because you try to protect 3 people at once.

Iguro:....it was a mistake on my part.

Shinazugawa:.... Don't die.

Iguro:...huh?

Shinazugawa:....live. you can be like him, scolding me like him, but don't follow him to the grave. Live. Don't die, Iguro.

Iguro:....what are you talking about. I couldn't guarantee that. My job aren't guarantee that.

Haha yeah! So I actually had a lot of thoughts about Masachika in this AU, because he is such a major part of Sanemi’s development. Originally, he was going to work with Sanemi when he was going through his serial killer phase as a human, both of them hating demon slayers and deciding they could probably kill more if they worked together, and then Masachika was going to die in a fight. But, I ultimately decided not to do that, because it felt redundant. Sanemi already lost enough people (humans) he loved to demon slayers, he didn’t need to get whacked over the head with that again

SO THEN I was gonna have Masachika be one of the weak demons that Sanemi gave his blood to as a human, before Masachika was eventually killed by the Corps…. But again, felt redundant

So then I finally settled on Masachika being a former Kizuki

Honestly he never had too many strong opinions on Tamayo, he just never cared enough to really give her an in with him. He was clever and strong enough that he still lasted a while despite not getting the nepotism treatment. He of course knew that Tamayo was fucking weird with and about a lot of the Kizuki, and they were with her, but his response was essentially “yeah I’m not touching that shit y’all have fun though.” Might have been different if he knew the extent of Tamayo’s manipulation, but he honestly had no real idea it was going on, or at least not the true magnitude of it

As for Masachika (and any other former Kizuki) interacting with current Kizuki, just picture the worst time you ever hung out with an existing friend group and felt entirely out of place and ignored but multiply that times 10000. Most former Kizuki, again, just felt that Tamayo’s little “family” were all just super fucking weird about each other. Some merely found it odd, some found it uncomfortable. Masachika was likely somewhere in the middle here

But like I said, he was clever and strong enough to still last a fairly long time in the ranks. But then Tamayo discovers Nezuko and basically decides she MUST be a Kizuki, and there’s one “Kizuki” left who doesn’t truly belong

Now….. again…….. it’s not to say that Tamayo killed him. Again, she would never! But…. If he ever got cornered by slayers and Yushiro just simply wasn’t fast enough to get him out of there…… well…..

I do still want him to have some significance to Sanemi though. After he’s settled in with the Mitsuri polycule and not vehemently pushing everyone away who attempts to have a conversation with him, they’ll end up friends. And Sanemi has started to get over his “everyone will die so I can never love anyone” mindset because he’s reasoned that Kizuki are basically impossible to kill

So it will still be rather heartbreaking for him and cause him to slide backwards a lot when it comes to his issues when Masachika is killed. Also forces Sanemi to confront that he can’t save everyone he cares about even now that he’s literally the third strongest demon in existence

(This will definitely have no repercussions for Genya later, nope, absolutely not)

But Tamayo will get to promote her perfect little princess Nezuko to Lower Moon Six and her family will finally be complete 😌 she’ll have her claws sufficiently sank into each and every Kizuki
