I've been thinking about glasses and Sherlock, and the two occurrences when Sherlock wears them (dressing as a waiter, and pretending that he's figured out Appledore's vaults in the cafe). So glasses represent disguise and deceiving. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't one of Sherlock's deductions about Mary "short sighted"...

To the Mary Haters:
I am legitimately asking this question. Like, 100% legit, no sarcasm at all. These are just thoughts I have been having in my head. Â
Now. Why is a character like Mary, who shot Sherlock (but arguably has a rational behind it and might have even been not trying to kill him), hated but a LITERAL MURDERER WHO MANIPULATES FRIENDS AND EATS PEOPLEÂ (Hannibal) is treated like "Awww, cute little baby"? I will admit, I don't watch the show, but I see a lot of it on here, so maybe there is nuances I am missing.Â
Also, why is there not a "KILL HIM!" response for Mycroft who was sending his brother--literally--off to die? I mean, he was saved at the last minute, but not because of Mycroft. And I don't want to hear that he was forced to. Because we can argue that Mary was forced to shoot too.Â
Again. I WANT answers. This is not rhetorical. I want to understand.Â
