Team Building Exercise// Scott & Logan
The idea was simple enough to get behind. They werenât doing anything back at the school except going at each otherâs throats and getting under each otherâs skin. He hated being cooped up indoors for too long, and not having anything really productive to do for a long stretch was only making it worse. So when the idea had been posed that they needed to bury the hatchet or at least âbe coolâ with one another, heâd suggested the first thing that popped into his head. As usual he later regretted the first thing that popped into his head.
So instead of finally getting a chance to retreat to the quiet and wild spaces near the university and get his head back in the game, he now got to be in the quiet of the woods with an awful awkward silence hanging between himself and Summers. Theyâd been hiking for a while when he finally felt calm enough that he could say something reasonable without sounding like a moron.
âLook, Slim, I know weâve had a rough couple of weeks. I know I havenât been helping at all with that. Weâve known each other for a while though yeah? You know how I am.â Nope. Donât do that Logan. Donât shift the blame on you being you. Youâre better than that. Face your mistakes like a man. He cleared his throat and tried again with the RIGHT words that were always so hard for him to say. âIâm sorry. Iâve been getting antsy, all cramped in the school and I shouldnât be taking it out on you. I shouldnât be picking fights, like we ainât got enough problems to deal with as is.âÂ
