Evan was huffing as they’d only recently finished the fight. Evan himself had a few visible cuts and bruises as well as a bloody nose. He pushed Peter against the brick wall of the alley. “You’re way too hot when you fight.” He muttered quickly before kissing him, casting a telepathic wall to ensure no one was able to see.

Peter only managed to get a soft grunt out before Evan’s lips were on him and he could taste blood in his mouth. That was slightly concerning, but they had both been hit a few times, so it was probably nothing.

“So I was in the middle of making myself an outfit for Paris Fashion Week when Zelda told me that I wasn’t invited! This is an offense and tragedy, Evan! So I was thinking that since you also like fashion, we should use your powers to sneak in and get ourselves some prime seats. 

“Peter…I only almost died in the Negative Zone….or I died a lot…honestly it’s not clear.”

Evan was silent for a while. The other night he’d had a burst of telepathic energy that caused a blackout around a six-block radius. He sat in the doorway and kicked at the ground softly, looking down at his feet. “If…If something like that happens again and I get close to hurting you…do what-whatever it takes.”

“No.” Came Peter’s immediate response, he’d expected this talk, it always came after any remotely small mistake Evan ever made related to his powers. He’d caused a blackout, it didn’t hurt anyone, everyone’s power came back on within a reasonable amount of time and ultimately, it was little more than an inconvenience. It was an overreaction and Peter knew it, but he could see the pain in Evan’s eyes and he truly felt for him.

“What’s a girl gotta do to get her husband to settle down and make 2.5 kids?”
