I wrote this tune as a contribution to a debate inspired by the excellent book that I`m currently reading by Simon Reynolds about his "Retromania" theory.Lyrically, this one uses his argument to point us at a secific genre of music in history that we can refer back to as reference and go back no further than that, then, without thinking, we usually do anyway, proving that Retro Nostalgic Pop" actually does have a few rules. Apart from that, its a nice toon recorded using my brand new Fostex MR8 Mark 2 in entirety and the clarity is digital spleandour :) All bits played and sung by ermmmm, me ! x nb. noticed that drum intro is very "ordinary" and needs a bit of production value added to slot into the album properly.

Yes, it`s the classic "Suspicous Minds" Elvis track really, given a facelift , a few groovy Eastern vibes, a kick ass pounding beat and a speed rap from Si Genaro that`ll singe your eye brows! Produced by Steve Darrel Smith. The band on the track is, me on bass + vocal, Steve Darrel Smith on keys, Bob Mace on drums, Craig Wilson and Carl Chamberlain on guitars.
