Prompt: Rarepair

It was simple, really, if you asked Martha. She loved Toshiko, already had started falling when they met. The sweet, quiet computer genius immediately catching Martha’s interest. Tosh didn’t draw attention to herself, especially not how Jack did, and it made Martha all the more determined to get to know her. It didn’t start with love for Toshiko, at least, not immediately. She liked Martha well enough, and it was interesting meeting another of the Doctor's companions. And people from their Captain’s past. Specifically the non-murderous ones.

Martha was nice. Inviting Tosh out for drinks, lunches, girl’s days. Each time they hung out outside of work, it was just the two of them, and she began to wonder. One day when they were spending some time together - Jack had seen Ianto in a UNIT cap and sent everyone home early - Toshiko decided to ask. Martha had blushed, saying she just enjoyed the time they spent together. She was having none of that, and told Martha very matter-of-factly that she wanted it to be a date, and would like for them to try being together.
