Register as a donor

Bay's match will most likely share some or all of his heritage- German and Japanese. But there are so many other people waiting for a match- and you could be the one to help them, even if you aren't a match for Bay.

So, if you are willing and able to be a bone marrow donor, please register! You can do so at a drive near you or ask for a kit to be sent to you. Just don't forget to actually do the swabs, fill out the form and mail it in!

You must be:

- between the ages of 18 and 44 (as patients have the best outcomes from donors of that age typically)

- willing to spend ten minutes filling out a form and getting four cheek swabs done

- committed to donate bone marrow if you are found to be a match for someone in need. The procedure typically takes forty-five minutes.
