LALI PUNA (GERMANY)
So, today we're going to relocate from anything that is harsh, noisy and brutal (in case you think that we write only about grindcore, black and hardcore acts). Today our subject is this magnificent german band who plays pensive, ethereal electronic pop with near-whispering vocals, but sometimes they include rock in their music. We've got an answer from Valerie, their former and permanent singer:
"I work as a journalist for a german radiostation. Currently I do a feature about a very special Munich label called Trikont and it's radical left history. There were times when I could have lived from doing music, but I never stopped working for the radio because I most of the time like working as a journalist. Now I have to work because you don't earn that much money from doing popmusic anymore. Our keyboard-player writes music for theatreplays and our drummer works for the same radiostation I do. So the only one who can actually live from doing music is Markus - as he is in another band called The Notwist."
