#marketFriday time to share another of my Hive posts. We enjoyed the visit to Artisans D' Angkor. Well, we didn't plan to shop a lot during our trip so, we didn't get anything here except some lotus incense that we still get to enjoy at home. Lighting that incense brings back feelings of being in Cambodia. Definitely one of our happy feels at the moment. When I get the chance and would have more budget, I would love to purchase some painted tiles from Artisans d'Angkor. They would make for lovely home decor.

Have a weekend! Enjoy it anyway, even though you're probably still indoors. Well, we still have to wait until mid-month to find out. Till then...

#marketFriday that might as well have been #flashbackFriday to that night in February when we were waiting at the airport in Manila to our trip to Cambodia. It's amazing how fast time just flew by. It has been more than two months since our trip. That was the only good thing that has happened this year, since the decade started!!!

I honestly don't know what type of biological warfare this covid-19 virus is, but it should serve as a warning to all that nowadays, war could come in any form, esp in the form of this virus. I hope that this will be the last tragic lockdown I would ever feel in my lifetime. Man should learn from his mistakes. I pray that we will survive this crisis.

#marketFriday #flashbackFriday to February during our Cambodia trip. This is part two of the Central Market stop that we made on our first day in Phnom Penh. I'm glad we were able to purchase souvenirs then. We just arrived in Phnom Penh and didn't quite know what to expect, but nonetheless glad that we had a shopping list. Thanks to my daughter who always plans our shopping trips. That way, we don't get to miss out on souvenirs.

#marketFriday I took a trip down memory lane last week. This was when we visited Batanes March of last year. Those were still fun times. It was truly worth looking back to. Ahhh, good to remember the good old days.

I want to remain positive, but at the same time, I don't want to be resigned to just accept our sad and sorry state at the moment. It's one thing to be caught in a crisis with an efficient and effective government. It's another to be totally frustrated because our government sucks at what they do. Well, perhaps there are good leaders in the LGUs (local government units), but I have yet to feel the effectiveness of the national government.

One thing I have realized is, we should learn to be self sufficient, to strive to be able to survive without anyone's help. That is more acceptable. At least you have no one else to count on except yourself. It makes life simpler.

#marketFriday sharing another one of my posts on HIVE. This one was from a year ago. It turns out that last year was actually a better year than now. Hmmm... such challenges we have faced since 2020 started. It's just the first quarter.

Now we're entering the second quarter. I pray constantly for things to be better each day. It's the third week of lockdown. Next week will be the Lenten Season here. Time for more reflection and prayers.

My daughter is a bit busy and stressed as it’s a normal work week for her, even though there’s an enhanced community quarantine happening here. It’s like a ghost town outside. So I’m taking a break from the teaching materials that I’m sharing. She’s the one who replicates the worksheets for me to share here. I will resume once her load lightens up. There’s a few more workbooks that need to be shared.
