Batanes from the airplane
The Basco Lighthouse is one of the three main lighthouses in Batanes. It is a six-story structure built on Naidi Hills in 2003, at the site of an old American telegraph facility destroyed by the Japanese Imperial Forces in 1941. Today the lighthouse serves as a navigational facility for local fishermen, and is also a popular tourist spot. Some couples even take their prenuptial photos here!
