So I thought about this earlier but what if the Talos shrine in Markarth was originally a shrine for Hircine
This damned city is pretty when it want to be. And when someone work on it. And wait for it to grow on you like a damn fungus. I'm still avoiding the temple.
Thinking back on it, I probably would have had a more appropriate reaction to entering Makarth for the first time and seeing a woman getting stabbed to death if I hadn't been rocking up to bandit camps with approximately the same population as the city and doing worse the entire time I'd been playing by that point.
My reaction wasn't "omg a woman got stabbed," it was more like "oh, at least he only got to one person." Honestly that's probably thinking like a local.
A little trip to Markarth

There is something…ethereal about Skyrim. About the elder scrolls in general but especially with Skyrim.
I have been playing it again with mods on my PlayStation and it’s beautiful.
I have survival mode enabled so I must travel by foot or pay for a carriage.
I was visiting markarth to find bounty work and was given two different bounties. Forsworn briarheart far north not far from dragons bridge.
I traveled by foot. Took out the furthest camp first nice and simple. A few well placed arrows and some careful blocking and slashing.
Then I went and cleared out the second camp much the same. I made my way up the path past dragonbridge towards solitude. I stopped at the general goods store and blacksmith to buy and sell my wares and then left to on a carriage back to markarth
Upon arrival it was night and the jarl was in his private Quarters for the night so I had to wait to get my payment. I went and bought a room and slept through the night and in the morning I ate some of the soup I prepared for when I got hungry.
After I went and retrieved my payment from the jarl for both Forsworn leaders and went on my way
This little adventures made me feel something. The quiet journey to achieve it all and the little stay in the in after while waiting to get my payment just…felt a certain way.
Tamriel is beautiful and I will keep coming back time and time again.
I just really like how Markarth looks on ESO. So pretty, with the waterfalls and the bit of greenery. I thought it was kinda bleak in Skyrim.
