The Lady of Shalott could not look directly out into the world, instead being forced to watch the world vicariously through a mirror in her room, or else a curse might fall upon her. Suddenly, a wonder appeared in the mirror and she needed to look outside for herself, curse be damned. For the first time, she looked at the world outside her tower, but was immidiately disappointed when the wondrous figure turned out to be Honey Boo Boo and she realized she just brought upon the curse for naught.
