Deputy Sheriff Mark Stasyuk, 27, was shot and killed while he and another deputy responded to a disturbance call at an auto parts store reference an unruly patron.
As Stasyuk and his partner, Deputy Julie Robertson, arrived and exited their patrol vehicles, a male suspect exited the business and opened fire without warning or provocation. Stasyuk was struck in his upper chest area, while Robertson was hit in the arm.
