In 2014 you've killed, that I know of, 5 black male characters who were part of the main ensembles of your show (or in one case, made to look as though he would be). Maybe more I didn't hear about. More than one of these characters was the only black regular on your show.

You need to take a time out to think about the real world implications of your actions. On the daily we hear about young black men being killed in the real world. When you write black men as disposable, when you underutilize them just to kill them off in the service of someone else's story, all you do is reaffirm the idea that black men are disposable.

So please, stop treating your black characters, specifically your black male characters, as disposable. Stop using the platform you have to prop up fucked up, deeply engrained societal prejudices. Add more black characters, and more characters of other races and ethnicities too. Add more queer characters. Represent your audience.
