The greatest miracle is the forgiveness of sin through the crucifixion and resurrection of the sinless Son of God. There isn't a close second. That miracle is available to anyone, anytime. Who’s in charge?
Sort of stream-of-consciousness thought...
The initial thought was triggered by a quote from Mark Batterson’s excellent book Wild Goose Chase: “We put so much pressure on ourselves, as if the eternal plans of Almighty God are contingent upon our ability to decipher them. The truth is, God wants to reveal them more than we want to know them.”
“I know the plans I have for you.” —God (Jeremiah 29:11)
“All the days ordained for me were written in Your [God’s] book before one of them came to be.” —David (Psalm 139:16)
“We are assured and know that—God being a partner in their labor—all things work together and are fitting into a plan for good to and for those who love God and are called according to His design and purpose.” —Paul (Romans 8:28)
“Not My will, but Yours be done.” —Jesus (Luke 22:42)
He is God; He is in charge. So the best thing for me to do—the most reasonable thing for me to do—is to submit to Him. That way I can discover and enjoy His good, pleasing, and perfect plan (Romans 12:1-2).

At some point, most of us stop living out of imagination and start living out of memory. Instead of creating the future, we start repeating the past. Instead of living by faith, we live by logic.
