marianne and sylvain because they didn't get an A support and I'm still mad
You. You get me, anon.
"How much further?"
"We're almost there, I promise."
Marianne held onto Sylvain, keeping her eyes closed under the blindfold. He'd asked if she'd be willing to join him for an excursion. And while any reasonable person would not have agreed to be blindfolded for such a thing, Marianne wasn't too worried. She trusted Sylvain, and she was curious to see what it was he was so excited to surprise her with.
The two had left late in the day. He said they would be spending the night at a cabin up in the mountains near his family home. By the time they would arrive at the cabin, the moon would be rising. They packed more than enough for a night away.
But she was curious what it was that he wanted to show her. From what she heard, it was just a simple cabin. Was there something about the location?
After a long ride, they finally stopped.
Sylvain carefully helped her of the horse, leading her up wooden steps and setting her down in a chair inside. She could feel it was covered in a thick, soft fur.
"Okay," he said. "Are you warm enough? I can give you a blanket."
"I'm alright," she assured. "Can I take off the blindfold?"
"In just a moment. Let me get light the stove and you some tea. It won't take long."
Marianne nodded, and waited patiently, humming to herself as she listened to Sylvain's steps running back and forth across the floor. Though she said she didn't need a blanket, one still ended up covering her lap. Soon, the cabin smelled of lavender, and a cup was in her fingers, warming them comfortable.
The blindfold fell away from her eyes.
"Alright," Sylvain said. "Turn to your left, and open your eyes."
Slowly, Marianne did as he said.
And let out a gasp.
In the sky, filled with sparkling stars, was an amazing wave of violet and pink and gold dancing in harmony. Flecks of green burned brightly. Hints of blue swirled in the night.
"I've never seen the sky this color before," she said. "Or, rather, these colors. It's...like a prism. Or an ocean of rainbows."
Sylvain smiled, sitting in a chair across from her. "You like it?"
"I love it." She smiled, big and as bright as the aurora. "This is amazing, Sylvain. Thank you for bringing me here."
