Slowly but surely, Liv had returned to her old schedule. Her peace of mind was not entirely restored (not that that was ever really fully the case with her, anyway), but she felt good going about her daily tasks again, a week’s worth of lectures and research had gone by smoothly. Being the last to leave the department wasn’t rare for her, and now more than ever, she enjoyed getting lost in articles that could capture her attention rather than being plagued by racing thoughts that resulted in nothing but misery. She was good on her feet again as well, had managed to squeeze in two decent runs, so overall, she felt alright.
On her way out of the building, she noted a few scattered voices here and there, but they sounded far enough away for her not to care. Probably students, North Valley had a bustling nightlife that needed to be restored as well. As she turned on her heel, she spotted a person whose presence she had completely failed to pick up on until she stood right in front of them. Liv startled, but perked up soon enough. She assumed the other person was probably either looking for the nearest bar or already drunk and staggering about the campus grounds, but even so, it was a bit of a walk from where most bars where located to right outside her workplace. She cleared her throat, but mustered a faint smile. “Hi, um – can I help you?”
