Midnight in Monochrome - The Ribbon and the Faerie Kelenco normally would have been a little more courteous in this kind of situation, but the whole "Twigboy" thing is one of Kelenco's big red buttons. That said, it's bad tact to argue with someone who just saved your life. Kelenco's just happy in hindsight that Marinke isn't nearly as spiteful as a lot of other Fae would have been. Midnight in Monochrome - The Ribbon and the Faerie Marinke knows the ribbon on his neck doesn't (and shouldn't) come off, so she didn't bother. Humia are basically the Muggles of Planatai; vast in population, most of which can't or don't use magic, and far weaker than the various demons, monsters, and magical races scattered throughout the world. Ignoring technicalities, Kelenco essentially has the mind and body of a very magically gifted Humia, which makes him come off as very strange, yappy, and generally annoying to a lot of the non-Humia folk he encounters seeing how Humia mannerisms and pop culture references are lost on them.
