This is Marin from "Marine Boy" (1969), which I have wanted to draw at least once since I was a child. I could not come up with a good idea for a picture for KamiHiro (By the Grace of the Gods (2020)), so I started to draw it for a change, but it took me a little time to put it all together. Because I drew it without thinking about the pose, I ended up with an angle that is not often seen in Marin's boomerang-throwing poses. It doesn't look good if the boomerang is on the far side of the picture (^^;)

Apparently as a toddler in the early ‘70s I was really into Marine Boy, one of the first Japanese anime ever dubbed into English.
