may do a more polished version of this in the future but i wanted to get the idea down. Yay<3

swap au.... aughhh... personalities are mostly the same but the dynamic is a bit different. marian is still really lonely and she feels really guilty for what she does. this time on a more concrete level since in this situation she WOULD have a problem with killing people but she can kinda rationalize it. it definitely gets to her more than it gets to analiese in the regular story because annie thinks of herself as a hero and can kinda distance herself from it. in this au marian is a vampire hunter kind of out of obligation and unlike analiese she almost immediately started thinking about "Oh shit they may eat people but this is still a person" and so it gets to her more. she still really admires(?) analiese because she sees her as the key to her loneliness. she knows that analiese enjoys marian trying to kill her and part of her wants to stop everything and just let herself be with annie but she's gotten so used to being by herself that she worries she would mess things up if she actually tried to start a relationship. analiese is still kinda obsessed with marian but this time its different. shes still a little conflicted about her feelings for marian but shes less ashamed to admit it to herself. shes also afraid to push things further in a romantic direction but this time its mostly because she just isnt sure what she would do. she already has issues with empathy and connecting with people but with this version having her be a vampire a lot of that stuff is even worse. Auhhh. auhh i love them

yes the bite scar on analiese's chest is from marian. that was like 20 years ago and theyre still going at it
