Maria’s Bag are known for producing premium, beautiful quality embroidered bags, taking up to 3 months each to create. The brand are immensely proud to support women from 16 underdeveloped communities with training in sewing, embroidery and design – and also by providing jobs with fair pay.

Founded by former Miss Guatemala and international model Alida Boer, her dream was to bring refined textiles and the ancient heritage of Guatemala to the fore front of the fashion world.

Alida and Maria’s Bag were featured in the ITV Documentary, Stephen Fry in Central America. Stephen, together with Alida visited the embroiderers as well as visiting the luxury flagship store in Guatemala City.
