They are definitely open about their relationship, every knows them as a unit, Crol & Maria, Maria & Carol. They are always touching eachother when they can, whether it be a hand around a thigh, an arm around a waist, or rubbing their legs together, there always has to be some kind if contact between the two. Carol has also been known to palm Maria's ass on sly occassions and Maria pretends to be mad and secretly loves it. They would often fight about Carol's quick temper and how it gets her in trouble or Carol not opening up and talking about how she feels. They never ever get into screaming matches, especially with Monica around. They're never disrespectful to eachother and they handle it like adults should. They make up by talking it out and coming to mutual agreements with each other
