Inspirational & MDM525 Defining Clients Needs Assignment
First I must say a few words of āGratitudeā. Ā Iām soooooooo very Grateful to be doing my MDMFA Gradās Degree Program. Ā I know I must sound very corny. Ā So I accept being the corny girl but yet very creative. Ā Defining Clients Needs is a part of this cool journey thatās my journey aka as Prosperās Journey.
I have to be honest though because Iāve dealt with clients in the creative field for a while. Ā Iām no stranger to the inner-and-outer workings of providing creative services to famous clients as well as giving free advice and direction to family, friends and associates.
With that being said, I really loved this class. Ā Iām always open to learning something new in my craft and strenging my skills. Ā Thatās why Iām doing this degree. Ā The three take-aways that resonated with me the most were:
One Margo Chase of The Chase Design Group. Ā I appreciated seeing Margoās design process when she re-branded Chinese Laundry. Ā She was very thorough in her research; thoughtful in her design process and providing multiple resources.
Two Ina Saltz with her enthusiasm of typography and providing the science. Ā I must say, I never contemplated typography at such a level before I seen her Lynda.com Tutorials. Ā I can say I wonāt go as deep as she does in the design process but I do have strong appreciation and will thoughtfully apply aesthetically what I learned in creatively and intellectually that makes sense to each individual project that Iām working on. Ā I know itās important as a layman and a professional.
Three Sean Adams is another favorite of mine. Ā In fact, I wish I can meet him in real life; pick his brain and either work with him or shadow him on a few projects. Thereās nothing like kinetically doing real work in real time. Ā I know multi-dimensionally, I would get a lot out of it as well as provide talent and creative vision.
Four I also appreciated Nigel Frenchās presentation on creating and developing logos. Ā His design process is very expansive and detailed. He creates a lot of options way before he presents his final top three ideas to his clients. Ā Ā
Signs, graphics, typography, and other interesting bits I find at Disneyland and Disney's California...
