I've considered Veilguard's timeline for this one! Link to the template here. Yapping and tags below the cut!
Your OC's energy
Here's another cool quiz turned into tag game! This one is very quick, so you can do it for multiple OCs if you want đââď¸
Link to the quiz
Caelen Mercar
Sounds accurate enough! Caelen is deeply affectionate toward his friends and loved ones. He's constantly looking to try out different things and is very passionate about his interests.
I wouldn't say he's overly cheerful though â he's too anxious to be that optimistic đ but he tries his best to lift the moods of his companions when they need it.
Marel Lavellan
lmao at "Sometimes criticized for being too blunt" đđ he's being called out
I think the "fearless energy" describes him well. Marel definitely suffers from lack of patience and impulsiveness, but he's good at solving problems because of his practical way of thinking. He's 100% more about action than words.
Darya Aeducan
Ohh I love this result for her! đ
Darya is surely a strong leader and a great strategist. She's good at making plans, managing people and acting rationally instead of emotionally. However, she does struggle with lack of empathy â since Darya is so focused on achieving her goals, she can often appear cold or detached. She's also quite headstrong and wants to do things her way.
Esther Hawke
this screenshot is a little outdated so ignore her scars!
I can totally see Esther as a guardian type. She embraces her role as elder sister, and even if she's carrying too much on her shoulders, she still feels it's her responsibility to endure all of it. She also doesn't like to stand out, which is unfortunate given her rise to fame as Kirkwall's Champion đ . Still, Esther does her best to keep a low profile whenever she can (this is partly why she enjoys visiting The Hanged Man).

he misses his vhenan
Oooh from the domestic asks, may I have⌠#4, 9, 17, 33, and 41 for Marel/Dorian please? đđ
Thank you!! 4 and 9 answered here! I'll swap these for 34 and 46 :D
Domestic OC asks
17. most trivial thing they fight over?
I can see them bickering about silly things, such as:
Marel intentionally hiding some groceries on the top shelves so Dorian can't commit culinary crimes đ
Dorian buying the wrong groceries or forgetting items from their list (and then he gets mad at Marel for not specifying the damn type of potatoes he needed)
Marel grumpily accusing Dorian of cheating at card games (or any kind of game, really)
Dorian complaining everytime Marel leaves the windows open and now Maker's breath there are bugs in the house (he insists Marel shoos all of them away)
... and the list goes on. They're such idiots I swear lmao.
33. how do they refer to the other in public? how do other people refer to the other? (i.e. âmy partnerâ, âask your fatherâ, âdad and papaâ, âhowâs your wife?â, etc)
Dorian either refers to Marel by his name or "Inquisitor" â old habit he'd picked during the Inquisition. If they're among friends, chances are he'll refer to Marel as his husband (and lowkey sound very proud of it đââď¸). Dorian doesn't use pet names in public though, only calling Marel "amatus" when they're alone.
Now, Marel is way more likely to let a "vhenan" slip out in public â not that he really minds. In fact, he often does that when they're among people they know. Dorian would never admit it, but he finds it quite endearing whenever Marel casually refers to him as his beloved in public. It makes his heart flutter every single time. With strangers or during formal occasions, Marel refers to Dorian by his name.
Also: Caelen refers to Dorian and Marel as "father" and "dad", respectively.
34. who is more likely to pay for dinner?
Dorian, for sure. Since Marel does the most cooking when they're at home, Dorian always insists on paying for dinner when they go out. Plus, he never misses the opportunity to spoil Marel. đââď¸
41. what would they do if the other one was hurt?
Yesss I love this question đ
I don't think it's surprising to say that Marel would go berserk if Dorian got hurt (I have a weak spot for this trope, after all). Still, it's a very different kind of anger from what he normally displays on the battlefield. Marel usually relies on instinct, charging across the front lines and carving a path for his teammates.
If Dorian got hurt, Marel would instead fall into a silent, murderous rage â which is somehow even scarier than his usual Reaver fighting style, because he's not gonna stop until he gets to Dorian. He's intent on killing anything standing in his way, but instead of losing control, he becomes frighteningly calculating. He'll lock the fuck in and do everything in his power to eliminate threats while also protecting Dorian from further harm.
As for Dorian, I can see him reacting in the opposite way. He would act impulsively, throwing out destructive spells and going all-in for the offensive. He's driven by panic and adrenaline at this point, which makes his magic more dangerous than usual. This is a huge contrast from his otherwise controlled spellcasting â something wild and untamed, and also a reminder of just how powerful he is. He'd pull every trick up his sleeve to rescue Marel and eliminate anyone foolish enough to stand in his way.
46. morning routine?
Marel usually wakes up before Dorian â he's always been an early riser â and heads out to the gardens to get some sunlight and exercise. He starts with a few stretches and warm-ups before working out for about thirty minutes. Once he's done, he goes back inside and cooks breakfast for both of them.
Note: even after they move into the Archon's Palace, Marel often insists on making breakfast himself despite having many servants who could easily do it instead.
Meanwhile, Dorian wakes up and begins getting ready for the day. He goes through his skincare routine, shaves, and takes a shower before picking his outfit. During breakfast, he'll usually read the newspaper while reviewing important reports from work.
On particularly lazy mornings, Marel will bring breakfast to Dorian in bed, and they'll likely share a bath afterward.
From the domestic asks, for Marel/Dorian: 4, 9, 15, 27, 44 please? :)
Thanks friend!! đŤś
Domestic OC asks
4. how did they start living together? do they move? how do they choose the place?
After the events of Trespasser, Dorian and Marel spent some time apart while Dorian took care of matters in Tevinter. Marel visited him every now and then, but it took about a year before they moved in together for good.
I assume Dorian lived at his family estate after his father's passing. In any case, both he and Marel wanted a fresh start, so they agreed to look for a new place. Actually succeeding in finding one, however, was a different story lol.
It took them months to find a home that suited their needs. By that point, Dorian had grown accustomed to a luxurious lifestyle, so he wanted a place somewhere in Hightown â preferably close to where the Magisterium sessions happened. Marel, on the other hand, didn't want to be confined to a tiny space (so an apartment was out of the question), and he preferred a more peaceful location away from the city's bustle.
They eventually managed to find a luxurious house close to Hightown. It's not as extravagant as Dorian's previous estate, but it's spacious and comfortable, with plenty of rooms and a nice garden. It's also very private, which worked great, since Dorian and Marel preferred not to attract unwanted attention.
9. do they act different in public and at home?
Depends on the timeframe. Both of them acted a little more affectionate in public during the Inquisition. Things like kissing in the library (or pretty much anywhere in Skyhold) happened quite often, and they didn't mind some subtle PDA.
It's a different scenario when Marel moved to Tevinter. Dorian needed to be careful not to ruin his reputation in the Magisterium, so they end up being more discreet about their relationship. After Dorian becomes Archon, however, they go back to some subtle PDA since there's no need for them to lay low any longer. They even publicly refer to each other as husbands on occasion.
15. what habits of the other drives them crazy?
Hmm, I can think of a few regarding domesticity.
Marel hates that Dorian takes over 80% of their closet with his outfits. Not only that, but Dorian often rearranges their clothing, which makes Marel have a hard time finding his stuff. Marel also gets bothered when Dorian goes out to buy groceries and ends up forgetting some important items (or worse, buys the wrong ingredients).
As for Dorian, he gets mad at Marel's messiness. Marel is the type to have an 'organized mess' â he knows where his things are, but he's likely to leave his stuff lying around. Dorian also hates it when Marel returns home from the garden and accidentally soils the floor with dirty shoes.
27. who leaves their stuff lying everywhere?
Answered above, lol.
44. do they feel they see each other enough, or do they have activities that take too much of their time?
Oh, they definitely feel like they could see each other more often, especially during Veilguard. They're constantly very busy with urgent matters, and they miss each other quite a lot. This improves post-Veilguard, since Marel is back to Tevinter and they're finally able to spend more time together.
