I’ve talked about this a bit but after endgame came out and people started discussing fat Thor, there was a strange shift in the way Thor was viewed both in the Thor fandom and in the general MCU fandom. It was a very sudden, very noticeable shift into like...the woobification and desexualization of Thor. Overnight, the fandom went from “blow out my back daddy” to “awww look at himmm I want to kiss his cheeks and feed him caaaaake.” And like, to a degree, I get it. We saw Thor in a lot of pain and a lot of grief and it’s normal to have a reaction of wanting to imagine him being happy. 

But, yeah. As soon as Thor got fat, a portion of the fandom stated treating him like a child instead of the grown man he is. That seems to have self-corrected a bit now, but at first I was....not into that.
