"...Dave Willetts replaced Michael Crawford as the Phantom on Monday 12th October 1987. (...) Michael Ball was the new Raoul, Sarah Brightman stayed on with the show in London for another week before she too would depart for Broadway"

Very good question. At first I thought it may be related to her not being in the original cast album, and that they used the album as a reference. But she is listed there too, so I really don’t have any good answers.

Marcys Tylor’s backstage photos is also very worth looking into, as well as Chris Brown’s cast portraits.

Internationally, Brinkhoff Mögenburg has taken amazing photos both for various German productions, and for the West End one. The photos taken by Pat Bromilow-Downing and Suzy Bernstein for the 2011-12 South African production were also epic.
