{honestly i decide by just sitting here, a really long time, and going "what would nanami do???" then i get sorta tired and just write what i think she would do--aka i write her best when i'm exhausted. ironically.}

What do you look for in other people’s writing?

I think that reading other people's writing is the best way to improve your own writing. Usually when I read other people's writing, I look at their descriptions, their vocabulary, and especially their metaphors! I absolutely love metaphor and allusion use in writing. Literary elements, man.

Three phrases you use too much in your writing?

"The creases of her maw drew into her typical doggish smile, accompanied by an amiable tail wag."

 "In retort, the wolf would give an amiable wave of her tail, as well as a hearty bark."

"...crimson tattoos that depicted her celestial heritage."

{ahhh;; oh gosh i’m not really good with minis i’m sorry but hand-waving might be best. but yes! the café’s in sector oo4 emm can use it freely

SHERLOCK IS NOT AN ACTUAL SOCIOPATH

THERE ARE LITERALLY DOZENS OF ARTICLES ON THE INTERNET DEBUNKING HOW SHERLOCK IS NOT A SOCIOPATH OR PSYCHOPATH

Also, I actually tracked down an actual sociopath at one point because I was that curious and apparently her response was that

1 - Sherlock didn't resonate with any of her experiences, although Moriarty did.

2 - She could only giggle at horror movies.  Like, she repeatedly watched them to try and figure out what feeling scared felt like, and it never worked.  (Also she thought blood was pretty.)

Take an inability to feel afraid ->  The H.O.U.N.D chemical that chemically induces panic and fear would not be able to work on someone who cannot feel afraid

But the H.O.U.N.D chemical did work on Sherlock.

So.  He can feel fear.  He can have feelings.

Also, according to the sociopath I asked, her default expression/mask was to be happy and cheerful.  

Pretty sure Sherlock doesn't do either of those in as a default.

HE IS NOT A SOCIOPATH AND HE IS NOT INCAPABLE OF FEELINGS

(This headcanon was really only popular pre-series 2 but still it lingers on in fic.)
