Ok, so I have this AU idea that is focused on Tails and Sonicās relationship inspired by Lilo and Stitch. Basically when Sonic turns 18, the government (maybe GUN idk yet) puts Sonicās legal guardianship into question. After all, he has no home, no income, lets his brother into dangerous missions and so on. So they send a social worker to investigate Tailsā homelife.
Of course Sonic freaks out at the prospect of losing Tails and fights tooth and nail to keep custody of him. He asks Shadow for help and advice as he works for GUN. (Because i am a freak and love sonadow) Of course nothing goes to plan, and Tails does not appreciate his routine and normalcy being disrupted by his brother suddenly treating him like a helpless little kid, not realizing just how much is at stake.
It strains their relationship, and Sonic is stuck between trying to remain optimistic that everything will work out and losing it at the realization that his time as Tailsā big brother may be ending. But you know, comedy stuff happens and everything works out in the end because it's Sonic, and ohana means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten and all that lmao
HC that Sonic doesnāt often curse (since he grew up raising Tails) and saves them for when shit hits the fan particularly hard.
Shadow though, has a huge potty mouth, (inspired by the original M rated STH 2005 script) lots of fuck words that can only be contained when in the presence of children. (ie. Cream) There are a lot of almost slip ups (āoh shhhhhhhhhootā¦ā) but he tries.
