It’s nearly time for Friday Night D&D once again!

Last week we rescued the missing patrol from some unique and unsettling monsters. We learned that it is impossible to predict what types of creatures we might face in the frozen wastes as many of the threats are rare... or perhaps even absolutely unique?

When Diesa attempted to divine how to find Mal’s parents we learned only that they were in The Unknown the frozen wastes that lie beyond where the denizens of this land regularly travel and received a chilling warning and threat from Werhuul the Undying (a god of undeath) that if we do not make it there in time he will have them forever. 

We received an invitation from a group of treasure seekers to join them on an expedition to the border of the Beyond and The Unknown and we told them we would discuss it amongst ourselves and let them know.

In the meantime we still need more information before we go charging off blindly into the beyond. Is it possible that Mal’s parents left some trace of where they planned to go?

Friday Night D&D is here again!

Last week we made our journey to the far and frigid north landing in the community of Rimestadt.

We know we’ll have to journey far into the frozen wastes to find Mal’s parents as well as to stop Mandrul from acquiring more eonite but for now we are heeding the several cautions we’ve been given to get our footing, to find allies and learn what we can before heading blindly into the wastes where the weather can be deadly let alone anything that might dwell there!

Last week we wrapped up our research and decided to heed Mal’s celestial guide and race North to thwart Mandrul before he knows we are after him - leaving the “Lord of Mists” an open problem that we hope will not get worse in our absence. 

Cara was approached by a cleric of Koryll (The Sentinel at Death’s Door). Due to her past experiences with death and undeath her spirit can now pass too easily between the realm of death and the living, a state that is NOT acceptable to the lady of death. She has been asked to become one of Koryll’s Eternal Bastions after death to guard the veil between life and death forever. Cara, who had been hoping for rest after all this was done, is now torn.

We returned to the Mageocracy and prepared ourselves for cold weather travel and are ready to embark to the frozen wastes of the north and whatever awaits us there.

Last week we travelled to Dockmarsh to deliver the news of the slaughtered town to the Blackcrests and clerics of Koryll and spent some time researching to see if we could find out anything about the strange malevolent entity calling himself the Lord of Mists and the Sorrow Sworn that follow him. We now believe him to be fae, but have only a snippet of a rhyme to give us any insight.

Meanwhile we made arrangements with our ally in the Mageocracy to find a ship willing to take us to the frozen wastes of the far north.  Today we have to decide what our priority is. Stop this new enemy before he can cause more carnage? Or follow the warning Mal received from her celestial patron and race to stop Mandrul (or someone else?) from acquiring an even larger source of eonite than the one we managed to destroy before he’s prepared to deal with us?

Friday Night D&D Stream (Starts 5:45pm Pacific)

Come join us tonight for some FEELINGS as we attempt to resurrect our fallen companion Diesa!

Last week we were enjoying the second night of New Years festivities in Eilir’s hometown when obscuring mists rolled in and strange, horrifying creatures attacked! We’d fought of all but the last two when Diesa fell! 

A mysterious figure appeared out of the mists, claiming the title “Lord of Mists”. When Cara attempted (futilely to attack him) he paralysed our entire party where they stood. He revealed that he has some knowledge of our party, or at least Cara, through conversations with her dead father (the only good news there is that her father definitely still appeared very dead). After deciding we were no longer worth his time, he summoned a spectral ship and left down river leaving us with nothing but Diesa’s body, a lot of feelings and nothing else but questions.

Regardless, I still have to take the dog for a walk and eat a food, and I’m feeling kinda drained today... so I might put off map stream for the night and try for it tomorrow instead!

Friday has come again! And so has game night! As usual we will be starting at 5:45 pm PDT

Last session we settled into our new home, took some long needed R&R including Sleater attempting some research. Then we skipped ourselves back to Thesylra and made the journey to The Order’s headquarters where Sleater went through a rather harrowing trial to become an official member.  We ended with Sleater finally admitting that she was having a really rough time with the loss of Rigghagen (not to mention a decade of time with her family). We left off with the party giving her a giant group hug.
