Thaddeus was internally panicking although he was trying his best to not let the expression show on his face as two watery eyes looked up at him. The archivist really didn’t know how to handle upset children when their parents were not around. It wasn’t that Thad disliked children but he was realistic about his strengths and weaknesses and knew that teacher was not a career for him. He could deal with children in small doses and was quietly thankful that most of the people who he dealt with in the archives were teenagers or older.

The festival in town though meant that the library was playing host to craft tables and everyone who worked there were doing their part. He decided to supervise the ornament crafting station during a time that he felt would not have as many people dropping by. For the most part he was right, but that also meant that apparently he was the closest adult for the young girl to turn to when she realized that she had misplaced her parents. He was looking around to see if he could spot the missing adults before he noticed that tears were starting to well up in the kid’s eyes.

Clark really needed to watch where he was going, especially when he had his son on his hip. However, that wasn’t always so easy, especially when his son got overstimulated by all the bright lights and colors. The teacher ended up getting so distracted by his son and making sure he didn’t accidentally drop his son, that he didn’t really realize he was going to bump into someone until he felt the heavy weight, followed by stumbling. “Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry! Are you okay?!” He asked the person he practically almost trampled, a concerned look on his face.

Cookie decoration was a well known tradition in the Moon family, especially given how much their mother loved to bake or cook. She had always expressed how she would have loved to be a chef if she would have chosen a different profession than the one she ended up going for. So of course the family had to make a stop at The Pastry Place where they were offering their favorite holiday activity. His sisters and mother were quick to find themselves a place inside, and Daniel offered to go and find them some pastries so they could start their thing. It was then, when on his way he bumped into someone. “Sorry!”, he exclaimed, but then a small smirk with a muffled chuckle couldn’t help but escape him when he took notice of who it was. This is the closest he has been to her since, given how her appearances seemed to be always so brief and rushed ever since that night. It was quite adorable. “Do I look that terrible today?”, he teased, as a way to playfully point out the look on her face after seeing him standing there.
