Leonis (Magic and the Boys who Love me) x Marcela (My MC)
This is my character. She belongs to the game "Magic and the Boys Who Love Me". Her name is Marcela, a girl you could call a Chicana—her father is Mexican, while her mother, though not from the human world (she’s a powerful magic witch), moved to the U.S. after arriving in the human world. Her mother empathized with her father when she saw that he, too, had left his home to seek a better life, and she ended up falling in love with him because she saw herself in him. From their love, Marcela was born.
As a child, Marcela moved to the human world but had her memories blocked. Her father lived in a U.S. city (I haven’t decided which one yet) and took care of her until he passed away. Her grandmother then moved to the U.S. to raise her, not wanting to take her back to Mexico and risk her losing opportunities. By the time the game begins, Marcela is already an adult, working as a waitress. Her grandmother was recently deported and returned to Mexico, so Marcela’s plan is to save up money to join her (though her grandmother doesn’t mind—since Marcela is grown and independent, she already has a home in Mexico).
Just before Marcela can finish saving for the trip, the events of the game unfold, and she’s taken to the magical world of wizards. Her obvious love interest is Leonis (I mean, I ship her with everyone, but Leonis is my favorite—don’t blame me!), as they complement each other the most.
Marcela
Marcela is a bold, quick-thinking woman who loves engineering and athletics. She’s a risk-taker who rarely weighs the consequences, which also makes her stubbornly follow her instincts. Highly independent, she dislikes being coddled and prefers to take care of others instead. She hates being corrected, scolded, or told what to do—and will defiantly push back if anyone tries.
This last trait is why, out of the five boys, she’s most drawn to Leonis. Her relationships with the others are more nuanced:
Jax: They get along, but his clingy personality feels suffocating to her. She sees him as nothing more than a best friend or a "gym bro."
Viktor: They clash at first, eventually becoming friends. Marcela sees him as a kindred spirit in personality but with a clashing temperament, leading to occasional friction. Their dynamic is too stressful for romance, so she keeps him in the friend zone.
Oz: They have great chemistry, but his split personality makes her wary. She wants to help him as a friend but doesn’t feel an intimate spark—though the tension between them is undeniable.
Alistair: Polar opposites in attitude and interests, yet he consistently supports her ideas and pushes her out of her comfort zone. She deeply respects him, and their dynamic thrives on mutual growth.
Titus: They share a similar reactive temperament but clash in values and perspectives, creating occasional misunderstandings.
Leonis, however, respects Marcela’s individuality. He’s rigid, rule-abiding, and her opposite—yet sweet, subtly submissive, and someone she fiercely wants to protect. His struggles (like his fraught relationship with his father, stepmother, and fiancée) are softened by Marcela’s daring, decisive nature. She helps him see new perspectives, making them a perfect complement.
