I’ve had to learn to accept that while as clean as I can make the house and as hard as I can try to maintain it, there will always be someone who comes along and messes it up.

I’ve had to learn that as much as I think I’m ready to face the world without any accountability, there will always be moments and people waiting on my path to test that very confidence. 

I’ve had to learn that I can go on as many diets as I can but there will always be some kind of tastier looking meal and sugary treat taunting me away. That loving my body comes from my own two pair of eyes, not anyone else’s.

I’ve had to learn that as hard as I can try to change someone else’s perspective on an issue at hand, that if they don’t want to see it, we’ll never get anywhere at all.

I’ve had to learn that I can make as many mistakes as humanly possible including a few brushes with death, and somehow I’ll still probably make many more.

Most importantly, I’ve had to learn that my reality isn’t the same reality as the person standing next to me.

Whether you're being made fun of for a couple extra pounds.

Whether it's religion, race, creed, looks, gender, what you watch, what you read, how you dress, how you move, how you love...

Whenever it seems like no one is there for you, the crowd seems silent, the individuals loud...
