i’m a little obsessed with matt murderdock now, oops

what they mean: dear marvel comics, can we please get some clarification on what matt murdock's life was actually like? was he blinded as a small child, or as a teen? did his dad die when he was a kid, when he was in high school, or when he was in college? at what point did he make the switch from yellow to red? can he or can't he "read" words on a page and "see" color? is he blond, brown-haired, or ginger? what college did he go to? is it jack "the devil" murdock or battling jack murdock? who actually was responsible for his father's death? what's his mother's situation? how did he meet karen page? how long has he known foggy, and did foggy know his dad? what's foggy's financial situation? who was nelson and murdock's first client? was it experimental chemicals or radioactive waste that blinded matt and gave him his powers? did he live in his dad's apartment until college or was he in an orphanage after his dad's death? was it stick or his dad train him or did he do it himself? i've read as many of the daredevil comics as i can get my hands on and each one seems to paint a different picture, marvel. can we please get a canonized single origin story for this poor man?
