Jotaro expects Rohan to meet him at 12 o’clock sharp. This was an arrangement made between the two of them a week in advance, something about everyone on their whole little ‘team’ having at least one mini-adventure together. He’s already gone hunting with Josuke and had that unfortunate run-in with Killer Queen’s Sheer Heart Attack with Koichi. While he hadn’t gone on one with Okuyasu yet (he wasn’t sure if the face-off against Akira truly counted since all of them were there), he truly knew little to nothing about Rohan save for what Koichi and Josuke told him.

Needless to say Jotaro wasn’t exactly one to judge others without getting to know them first (they’ve exchanged a few ‘hellos’ and numbers as a result of both being involved with the search for Yoshikage Kira), but what he’s heard isn’t exactly promising. 

Honestly, Jotaro can respect a man who’s made such a name for himself at such a young age. He’s familiar with Pink Dark Boy and acknowledges Rohan’s skills as a mangaka so perhaps... 

Perhaps he isn’t ‘the most annoying asshole ever’ as his uncle so eloquently put it. 

Regardless, Jotaro believes this will be a pleasant outing. Unlike most of the others that Jotaro’s been recently acquainted with Rohan is an adult like himself. They’re not even out on Stand User business as Rohan simply agreed to accompany him at the beach to sketch some of the starfish and other shallow-water sea creatures. 

Just as Jotaro looks up from the newspaper he was skimming he’s alerted to the sound of a car door opening a few yards away, his gaze drawn away from the pseudo-flashy vehicle to the designer shoes and pants stepping out. 

‘That must be him,’ he thinks, standing up and making his way over to greet the artist. He doesn’t offer much more than a gruff hello before jumping right into business, explaining how part of this involves Rohan stepping into the water with him to really get an eye for the sealife, eyeing those pristine white boots as he says so. Hopefully Rohan isn’t the awfully vain type? Or won’t care about removing his shoes?

       “That’s in the past, you know. The two of you should get over your differences and stop being so immature,” Jotaro murmurs, voice low and calm yet still the slightest chastising. He doesn’t mean to offend Rohan in any way since the other man is an established adult, but he calls it like he sees it. This hatred between the younger man and his uncle is immature and a hindrance to their search for Kira.        After all, it’s so hard to try and accommodate both Rohan and Josuke’s schedules just to make sure neither of them run into each other while splitting up into investigation pairs. Jotaro thinks he could actually make use of both of them if they weren’t so difficult. He’s aware Josuke is a kid so his words might not get through to him, but Rohan? While the artist is still young there must be some common sense within him–why else would the man have such a successful manga? Surely he’s just being childish about this.        “You’re not the only person that my uncle beat up. His current best friend is among them, and he’s tried to hit me before. As for part of your house burning down… You can’t just accept a payment from the Speedwagon Foundation and let bygones be bygones? You shouldn’t worry over these past trifles that you can’t change, so you might as well be the bigger person.”        A pause, and Jotaro takes a sip of his coffee before continuing.

that is…a very good point; not even the people who actually go to hot topic unironically would show up in only their pajamas. I’m sorry I doubted you for a second there. the koichi I know would never fall to such depravity.

Art was something he never was good at or had much interest in but this guy’s picture, whom he leaning over the shoulder of (and trying not to be noticed by him), was incredibly impressive.

He hadn’t been standing there too long; initially, he had been there to simply examine and become familiar with the area. But the sound of pencil or ink pens scratching on paper had caught his attention and, well, damn him for being so curious. It couldn’t be helped.

               “Whoa, cool.”

He immediately stiffened, but made no move to leave, simpley chuckling nervously as he realized he had given himself away.

My, my. The Great Eggshell reveals himself once again. Would he remember her, she wonders..? Well, only one way to find out.
