To the Manor born by National Library of Ireland on The Commons The Manor of St. John has that classic sound to it! A place built on the site of a monastery perhaps, or is that the name of the townland? Waterford, where Mr. Poole took so many of his photographs, has some wonderful townland names including Morning Mary's personal favourite “Christendom”, so perhaps “St. John” is yet another?
