It was almost laughable how blunt the shorter one was. How he had enough nerve to actually speak his mind when Hao had killed for less. In some ways he respected that, because regardless his Reishi ensured that he was well aware of the feelings of those around him.
“And who is going to make me pay, Manta? Are you?” The shaman moved closer to the other male, then knelt down before him. Despite his horrible deeds seconds prior Hao’s face was devoid of any anger or malice.
“Perhaps you may not be able to wrap your head around it, but I am creating a paradise. I don’t need weak shamans or corrupt humans in my world. Only those worthy will be able to survive in my shaman only kingdom.”

My ideal Shaman King sequel/spin-off would focus on Manta and be set 500 years later

The Oyamada Corporation ushered in a new era of world peace 400 years ago.
The Shaman King, Hao, guided the progression of humanity, led by the Oyamada Corporation.
It's a trillion dollar company that specialises in environmental technological innovation.
The USA branch of the company, the Patch Enterprises, combines Shaman magic with technology.
The company 's greatest invention was the Manjien 「万辞苑」, an A.I. developed by Manta.
After 500 years, Manjien developed a soul of it's own and evolved into a God-Class spirit.
They also have their own Space Station named, The Mansumi 「萬純」orbiting the Earth.
The Mansumi sends astronauts to other celestial bodies in the Solar System.
They want to discover if other planets posses their own Great Spirits.
The Mansumi also tracks the return of Rahu & Ketu.
The twin shooting stars, Rahu 「羅睺」 & Ketu 「計都」 , pass over the Earth.
Rahu & Ketu are messengers from across the universe.
They pass over Earth every 500 years to test humanity.
When the Shaman King is chosen, they are tested by Rahu & Ketu.
The former 8 Shaman Kings believed they passed the test, but they did not.
The 9th Shaman King will pass the right test.
9 is an important number in many cultural mythologies.
The 9th Shaman King will introduce the Great Spirit of Earth to the Great Spirit of the Universe.

Did Manta truly think he’d gain anything from the statement? They both knew Hao’s stance at the end of the day; his decision had been made long ago. Humanity had only been spared thanks to Yoh. Yoh and his frustrating optimism; his meddling.
Regardless, the Shaman King’s view remained. The world was better off without humans, and he’d continue to think that way until someone else took his throne.

Hao was always relatively impressed that the shorter male still managed to bring himself to APPROACH the shaman king. After all, it wasn’t like Manta was oblivious to just who he was - what he was. Most humans who came to know him avoided him, and for good reason. Then again, the shorter male had long proven that he wasn’t like most humans.
Well, at least he’d be entertained for a bit.
